"Made in the USA between 1979-1984, the Moog Prodigy was one of the most popular analogue monophonic synthesizers on the market in the lower price bracket. Over the last four decades, its allure has hardly faded. With two VCOs (one with sawtooth, triangle, and square waves; the other a pulse waveform with sawtooth, triangle, and square), a Voltage Controlled Filter, and a Voltage Controlled Amplifier with a three-stage (ADR) envelope, the Prodigy can do everything from velvety flutes to more aggressive electronic sounds. Generally acknowledged to be tonally superior to the later Moog Rogue, that distinguishing Moog sound is there in buckets. Intuitive panel layout allows speedy creativity, and the twin VCOs can be slightly de-tuned to fatten up the bass sounds.....its a Moog dream machine, no more~ no less!

This particular instrument is being marketed by Klassic Keys GB (E. Midlands, England). It has been professionally serviced, scaled & tuned. All in all, this makes this Prodigy a top example of its kind. For a 38-year old item, it is now in good condition. Although the wooden casing shows its age, which ( IMHO) gives it a proper mojo......Sonically, it is faultless, with all switches, pots etc working 100%, with no snap, crackles or pops, new casing screws etc......and what a sound it makes...... a classic Moog at a budget price? Its a true USA-made instrument, a piece of history.......it operates @ 220Vac via "kettle" mains cord."
