ONLY Yamaha EX5 can do this!

"FDSP is a derivative of modeling synthesis which appeared on the Yamaha EX5 exclusively. In this video, I take a look at a more subtle use of the "Tornado" algorithm which helps everyone's favourite EX5 patch, "Celebration" to it's sparkling demeanor, and play some FDSP patches found on the EX5. FDSP sounds like a less comprehensive or programmable modulation systemic form of E-Mu Z-Plane synthesis that appeared ten years earlier. In the E-Mu rack synthesizers Morpheus, Proteus 2000 and Ultraproteus the Z-Plane filter designs are fixed but in the software Emulator X3 custom Z-Plane filters can be programmed much like the user slots in Korg's Prologue that arrived twenty years later.
