Doepfer MSY2 w/ Roland TR-08 & TR-606

video upload by Ticco Ross

"As you know, the MIDI protocol was created in 1983, two years after the release of the TR 606.
That is why the synchronization system it uses is different from the one later used by the industry: our beloved MIDI.
In order to synchronize MIDI devices and sequencers with rhythm boxes from the 80's using DIN SYNC there are different sync boxes.
I opted for the Doepfer MSY2 as it is the cheapest and it turns out that it works great. I haven't had to adjust the trimmers on the back, it works great just out of the box.
NOTE: The clock led is not properly recorded due to the refresh rate of my camera, but is clock solid even if you can't see it correctly."
