Kiviak Instruments is pleased to officially announce the release of Wofi, their first instrument ever, on October 17, 2023.

This date will begin a one-month Kickstarter campaign as a pre-order tool to scale the volume of production needed.

Expect to receive your WoFi during Q1 of 2024.

WoFi’s development journey has taken some time, but after 3 years it is now ready to be played by many music makers!

This synthesizer is a modern take on classic keyboard samplers from the 80s and 90s.

The team of Kiviak Instruments had in mind to keep the same philosophy while bringing new features one could expect in 2023:

• having an easy instrument to play and program with an intuitive and familiar interface offering sound shaping options à la subtractive synth, a sequencer, and audio-effects

• recording, managing, and browsing samples effortlessly directly from the machine

• using their savoir-faire in cloud management to take the sampling experience to a whole new level

(without any subscription required)

• keeping the classic compact and portable form factor with a sleek design twist and substantial

I/O connectivity to make the machine relevant in different scenarios, from your home studio to the

nearby forest

• emulating classic samplers to enjoy different flavors of lofiness

WoFi will allow you to bring keyboard sampling to a new level:

• record samples effortlessly with the internal microphone or the stereo input

• play any recorded sample chromatically with 10-voice polyphony

• transform the sample with the different emulated sample players and the rich synthesizer

interface with an envelope, a low-pass filter, an LFO, etc...

• bring sparkles to your sound with Texturer

• sequence notes and parameters and play along with it

• use it on the go with its internal battery, microphone, and speaker

• ... or in your studio with other machines, thanks to its I/O for MIDI, cv/gate, audio, and analog sync.

All the signal flows go two ways: inward and outward; you can configure it however you want.

thanks to its internal Wi-Fi chipset

Two words might have caught your attention up there: Texturer and mywo.fi

Here is a little more about these two:

• Texturer is the secret sauce to spice up your sound design on WoFi. It is an audio effect halfway

between a shimmer FX and granular synthesis. It will come as a VST/AU plugin with a deeper edition. It will be available by the end of Q1 2024 as well.

• mywo.fi is the fruit of Kiviak Instruments' experience in IT and cloud management. The idea is to bring the power of this technology to the core of Kiviak Instruments’ ecosystem. This

platform facilitates sample management for your WoFi(s): sample back-ups, sample browsing, sample sorting, sample sharing, sample discovering, and more. It can also be a place to share things with the community or to keep everything safe and backed up for yourself. And a place to manage your WoFi(s) and their content effortlessly.
