This came from an Estate Sale attic find. No history behind the ownership.
Comes with MiniMoog Sound Charts book.
This is a 'first generation' model, serial number 4522.
Note: Serial number on circuit board matches that on back of unit.
The original Moog Minimoog Model D, is a vintage monophonic analog subtractive synthesizer with a massive legacy. The Model D is truly an incredible instrument, a super-fat and sonically powerful analog synthesizer. The Model D features 3 VCOs, white / pink noise, an LFO (in lieu of the 3rd VCO), filters, an ADSD envelope, and frequency modulation.
This is a great example of a 1974/75 MiniMoog Model D! At this stage they still had the earlier oscillator board design. Many feel that these are the “fattest” sounding MiniMoog oscillators. The wood is in good shape with some minor dings typical for something of this age.
This unit is 115-230V. This means it can be used nearly anywhere in the world with a flick of a switch on the back. You must ensure the switch is set to the correct position for your country before powering on this unit.
WHAT WE KNOW:
COSMETICALLY in good condition, NOTE: ** The original plastic cover is still on the control panel** (see pics.) There is the typical minor scratching and wood denting for something from the mid 70’s.
ELECTRONICS – Has had a very basic cursory check and all controls and switches and keys were working with the accompanying manual setting. (Setting is from accompanying manual for Flute).
DISCLAIMER – Due to the nature of old electronics: This unit is being sold as “70’s VINTAGE AS IS” and described. There has been no “EXPERT ”technical or professional advice given."
All I want to do is peeeeeeellllll off the plastic.
