Sample & Hold in Video Games // a short sound design history with Instruo

video upload by

"This is from the limited edition tagh video on "13 Patches for Better Sample & Hold + Track & Hold" you can learn about these functions and how to apply them here // [13 Patches video below]

After mentioning this specific video segment to a few people and realising some had missed it, I wanted to repurpose this as it's own little chunk of video and sound design history. Fascinating to think that storing 3 numbers led to so many sound FX in video games.

Thanks to Jason from Instruo for originally sending this in for my tagh demo. Check out Instruo here - https://bit.ly/instruo"

13 Patches for better Sample & Hold + Track & Hold in Eurorack // Instruo tagh

video upload by DivKid

"The video demystifies sample and track & hold, looking at their differences, how they work all within 13 patches for making better creative and musical use of these functions. As well as providing a tutorial on these functions this video is also a demo of the Eurorack module ‘tagh’ from Instruo which currently has a limited edition batch (info below). Try these patches out in your systems, they’ll work on lots of different modules and be sure to share your own patch ideas and let me know if you’ve tried any of these in the comments. Cheers!"
