"Ninety years ago today, Robert Arthur Moog was born at Flushing Hospital in New York. From that point on, Moog would begin a lifelong journey that would forever change how the world heard music.

Thanks to his pioneering contributions to synthesis, Moog revolutionized music by offering musicians a new palette of sounds that had never been available before.

Even in the years since his passing, Bob has inspired creativity and innovation in countless musicians throughout the world and across a wide range of genres.

For all of Bob's remarkable achievements, humility, and grace, we are forever grateful.

    You know why nobody wishes George Washington a happy birthday? Because he's dead, too. I just think it's kind of weird and a little gross to wish a happy birthday to someone who is beyond the ability to be happy, or to be anything.
