NGEN 1.2 Demo #1 - Garage [Sounds Only]
video upload by Spektro Audio
"This is an edited version of one of the NGEN demos originally recorded for the NGEN 1.2 update video: [posted here]
In this demo, we're using NGEN to create a UK Garage-inspired song using multiple NGEN generators and Ableton Live 12.
NGEN is connected via USB to the computer and we've set each instrument track in Live to receive MIDI from a different MIDI Channel coming from NGEN.
The main drums are being sequenced by DrumGen (using the new Garage template) while the other tracks (bass, chord samples, and percussive synth) are sequenced by the ACDGEN and Arper generators. During the performance, we're also switching between previously generated patterns and generating completely new patterns using the Pattern Generation feature.
NGEN is a unique 16-track MIDI sequencer design in São Paulo / Brazil that lets you combine multiple algorithmic / generative generators and MIDI FXs to sequence multiple hardware or software MIDI instruments.
