"This one is no ordinary DX7. Besides being in great shape for its age and fully functional. it has several nice additions and upgrades including: SuperMax OS ($100 if you can even find it, read additional feature list below, really takes this synth to the next level). The presets on this sound awesome. The screen is very bright (looks better in person than in the photos, this part is ~$75 plus $125 tech labor to install). Also includes a files CD, cartridges (x7), battery & battery holder (x2). Each cartridge value is approximately $100 on its own, and high quality dust cover value approximately $100, so an extra $1000 in accessories and upgrades.

Yamaha DX7 SuperMax OS features:

- Memory Expansion: Sixteen banks of 32 patches for 512 patches total. Two banks of factory patches are included.

- Arpeggiator: Predefine 32 types of arpeggiation over part or all of the keyboard.

- Voice Delay: add additional notes of the same or different pitch, delayed from 10ms to 10s for each note you play.

- Voice Stacking: Stack and detune two, three or four voices of the same patch. Multitimbral stacking modes (16x1, 8x2, 5x3, 4x4). With volume, coarse tune and fine tune settings on each voice, you can create chorus effects and/or chording and/or octaves.

- Sound Creation and Morphing: New patches can be developed and existing ones can be selected live by pitch/mod wheel, velocity, random, etc.

- Temperament: You can predefine 4 different keyboard tunings.

- Programmable master volume.

- Programmable keyboard zones, MIDI zones and MIDI channel.

- Rolling Mode: allows using up to 4 sounds per patch."
