Forces of Nature - Geysers (Buchla Music Easel Retro)
video upload by PanicGirlVids
"I’m especially fascinated by volcanoes at the moment - and in this case, by geysers in particular. Slow movements, forceful, steady, unstoppable.
A geyser is a rare type of hot spring that intermittently shoots hot water and steam into the air. Geysers form in volcanic areas where specific conditions exist: a heat source (usually magma beneath the surface), a steady water supply (from rain or snowmelt), and a plumbing system of underground channels and chambers. Water seeps deep into the ground and is heated by the magma. As it gets hotter, pressure builds up in the underground chambers until it suddenly forces the water and steam to erupt at the surface. There are about 1,000 active geysers worldwide, making them rare and spectacular natural features.
It’s worth remembering that we live in symbiosis with the Earth and all its creatures - and that we’re not here to rule over anything.
