SOLTON POLYVOX K - 1983

This is the first comprehensive demonstration of the SOLTON POLYVOX ever made.
The reason this hasn't been done previously by anyone else is the insane rarity of the controller keyboard that unlocks all sections - SOLTON POLYVOX K.

We've only seen the controller keyboard in the wild twice and we managed to buy them both.

The video probably has the information you need but let's dive in to a basic rundown here just in case:

This is the desert island auto-accompaniment machine to rule them all.
Plus a string machine.
And a monophonic synth.
And organ.
Oh, and the polyphonic preset sounds, don't forget we got those too.

And the choir section.

We forgot to mention the built-in spring reverb.

There are so many features here it's seriously hard to mention them all but just the auto accompaniment part is a full SOLTON PROGRAMMER 2, or rather what would become the Solton Programmer 24 since it would be another couple of years until its release.

The drums are taken from the SOLTON DISCO 64, the predecessor to the SOLTON POLYVOX.

The controller keyboard is essentially a classic accordion but cracked open and flattened, or butterflied if one wishes: the left hands bass and chord buttons transpose harmony and key of the auto accompaniment section and some other sections when they're engaged in Left Hand mode.

The right side offers a more familiar three octave keyboard.
The left hand bass and chord buttons are organized in the Stradella fashion of 6 rows of 20.
Dial up programmed preset combinations are available with the push buttons on the keyboard, something we unfortunately didn't have time for in this video. Nest time.

The main unit holds all the actual sound-generating electronics and its where the sound-sculpting happens.
Every section has its dedicated volume dial and the drum machine has a balance slider for emphasizing the bright or lower end drum sounds.
The drums and auto accompaniment section are fully programmable - another incredible feature that needs its own video.

The complete Polyvox kit was made for the traveling musician and comes built-in to a road case.
The foot pedal controls, start/stop, fill in as well as a slide feature of the monophonic section - yet another feature there simple wasn't time for in this video."
