"Quick demo of the Elgam Carousel I just serviced and modded by adding external clock and start synchronisation (DIN Sync) and an extra output to have dedicated outputs for drum and accompaniment section.
I used a Roland CR8000 to clock the Carousel but any drum machine / sequencer that uses DIN Sync or send 24ppq pulses will work, like the Arturia Keystep range.
This open a world of possibilities. The second output is quite useful especially in a live situation where you'd want drums and accompaniment parts to have different fx. In the demo the drum part is recorded dry and the accompaniment part goes through a Zoom MS70CDR to have filter delay. (CR8000 goes through the Dynacord VRS23)
Since you can clock the Carousel you can even record seperate arrangement tracks without having to worry about sync issues."

Unit was fully serviced and is in perfect working condition:
- every electrolytic capacitors were replaced
- fully calibrated
- an external clock / start sync was added. You can now sync and start the Carousel with any device that send 24ppq clock pulses, like DINSync (used in Roland CR78, CR8000, TR808 etc) or modern devices like Arturia Keystep clock output. If requested I can provide for free a TRS mini jack to DIN cable in order to use with devices that uses that connectors like Arturia. There is a switch to flip from internal to external clock.
- a second audio output was added to solo the drum part. When inserting a jack the drum sound is removed from the main output and goes to that second one, so you have seperate outputs for drum and accompaniment."
