"Released in 1978, the SH-1 is a compact analog synthesizer from Roland’s innovative SH series, which spawned numerous classics. It was the first SH model to adopt a visually intuitive slider-based control layout that makes sound creation straightforward.
The SH-1 provides 32 keys, a single VCO plus a Sub Oscillator that can be switched to output 1 or 2 octaves below. The VCF offers cutoff and resonance along with an additional HPF (high-pass filter). For envelopes, it features a standard ADSR and a simple AR generator as well.
Connectivity includes CV/Gate In/Out, external audio input, and trigger input, making it easy to integrate with other systems. With the VCO plus Sub Oscillator, the SH-1 delivers the model’s characteristic thick, punchy monophonic sound.
Operation has been checked and confirmed."
