Moog Messenger: 64 Arp Presets No Talk Sound Jam Demo
video upload by Anton Anru
"Spiral Motion is a collection of 64 Arp Presets for Moog Messenger.
The patches cover a variety of Arp tones: mild and aggressive, deep and bright, simple and complex, soft and punchy, musical and experimental.
🧬 All sounds are very dynamic: they have synced modulations, and they are velocity-sensitive. You may hold a chord and add accents to the arpeggio with velocity, or add expressiveness via aftertouch.
And, of course, you should play with Envelopes, Filter Parameters, Arp Patterns and Range, LFO Rate to get the best experience of the presets.

🧿 The soundset is universal, the Arps are suitable for all genres of electronic music, including Techno, House, Trance, Lounge, Downtempo, Funk, Disco, Pop, Acid, Hardcore, IDM, Drum'n'Bass, Breaks, Breakbeat, Trap, Electro, Ambient, Dubstep, EDM, Synth-Pop and others.
Performed by Pavel Mikaelyan.
💡 Make sure you are using the latest firmware version.
The soundset comes in two formats: .syx and .moogmessenger.
Both formats include individual files and a preset bank (all presets in one file). The presets occupy Banks 01–04. Bank transfer will overwrite all 16 Banks (the rest are the factory presets). Make a backup before loading.
To upload the Sysex Bank onto the synthesizer, use a SysEx file utility:
For Mac: SysEx Librarian by Snoize
For Windows: MIDI-OX or Bome Send SX
1. Connect Messenger to your computer via USB and select it as the MIDI device in the application settings.
2. Load the .syx file into the application, select it, and click Send/Play.
3. The bank will be transferred to the synthesizer within a minute.
You can also load presets one by one.
This takes a bit more time but allows you to choose which slots to use.
1. Load the 64 individual files from the Sysex -> Patches folder into your Sysex app.
2. On the synthesizer, select the bank and patch (slot) where you want to load the preset.
3. Double-click/play the file in the app (for example, 01-01 ARP Glider AA.syx) — it will load into the selected slot on the synthesizer.
4. You can already play the preset. To save it permanently to the synth, press the SAVE button twice.
Repeat this for all 64 presets.
This method also lets you audition presets without saving them to hardware (and without altering your library) until you press SAVE, which is quite convenient.
You can also use the presets with the Moog Messenger Editor app.
1. Import the entire collection:
Open the Libraries tab and click the import library icon (next to the + icon).
Navigate to the file Moog Messenger - Spiral Motion (by Anton Anru).zip (Editor Files -> Bank).
The library Spiral Motion will appear in your list.
Click Load On Hardware to upload the sounds to the synth.
Bank transfer will overwrite all 16 Banks (the rest are the factory presets). Make a backup before loading.
2. Load individual files into the app’s preset list:
In the top panel (where the preset name is shown), open the menu -> Load From File, and select a file from the Editor Files -> Patches folder.
The file will appear in the preset list (not to be confused with the Libraries).
Double-click the file to launch it and start playing.
As with Sysex, the preset is not written to the synth’s memory until you press SAVE twice on the synthesizer."
