ARPs for All - Visiting Artist! March 2-6

via the Alan R Pearlman Foundation

"The Alan R Pearlman Foundation welcomes Visiting Artist Kristina Warren to a week-long Residency as she explores new ways to work with the ARP 2500 and other synthesizers.

Culminating projects will conclude later this year as she will be offering a workshop.

About Kristina Kristina Warren is a versatile and imaginative sound artist, composer, and performer based on Narragansett land, also known as Providence, Rhode Island [US]. Warren presents a wide variety of work, ranging from synth voyages and digital soundscapes to concertina meditations, installations, workshops, and more. All this work aims in various ways to highlight the vast and transportative ebbs and flows of individual and collective listening. Praised as “beautifully organic” (Peter Bruyn, Haarlems Dagblad) and having “a finesse of timbral traces” (Frédéric Cardin, PanM360), work by Warren has been presented internationally at venues including Flux Festival Montréal [CA], Synth Library Prague [CZ], MuseumsQuartier Wien [AT], Experimentik Berlin [DE], IOIC Zürich [CH], The Bluecoat Liverpool [UK], Elastic Arts (Chicago), Light & Sound Design (Brooklyn), and Rhizome (DC). kmwarren.org"
