Moog DFAM+Labyrinth 50 Combo Patches + Samples. Sound Demo

video upload by Anton Anru

"🥁 'Modular Impulse' is a collection of 50 combo patches for the semi-modular analog synthesizers Moog DFAM and Labyrinth.
The soundset focuses on rhythmic and dynamic sound design, as both synthesizers are naturally oriented toward punchy, percussive tones.
🧿 The collection includes basses, plucks, bleeps, drums, leads, and FXs.
There is a wide range of sound colors inside the pack: massive and gentle, aggressive and soft, bright and dull, melodic and inharmonic tones, as well as straight and polymetric patterns.

📦 The patches are available here: https://antonanru.sellfy.store/p/dfam...

🎛 The main idea behind the soundset is a high level of interconnection, rather than simply syncing the synths with independent timbres (individual patch collections for DFAM and Labyrinth are also available on my website).
In this patchbook, the timbres of the synths are tightly intertwined and cannot exist separately:
✅ they modulate each other using oscillators and envelopes;
✅ a sequence from one synth may control parameters on the other;
✅ trigger interaction, clock and rhythm modulations, and different sequencer lengths break predictable patterns;
✅ audio signals from VCOs can be used as modulation sources to create harmonies, intervals, or wild experimental inharmonic tones;
✅ alternatively, they can be used as audio sources routed into the other synth, where they are processed by a different filter and envelope — giving the signal a “second life.”

🪇 DFAM and Labyrinth each play distinct and clearly defined roles. The result is not a chaotic sound mess, but a tightly integrated system where the synths work in close cooperation.

The soundset is presented as a PDF patchbook with visual patch diagrams. Each page includes notes explaining how the patch works, which parameters are worth tweaking during playback, and how to evolve the timbre during performance.
By following these notes and experimenting with the settings, you can learn a lot about the instruments and explore their full potential.

⚙️ To recreate the patches, you will need up to 10 patch cables.

🎧 Audio examples of all patches are included in the soundset folder. Each patch is demonstrated in three versions: DFAM only, Labyrinth only, and both synths together.

💾 Additionally, a separate folder contains WAV samples with the same timbres, including Scale and BPM information.
You can use them in a sampler or DAW if you want to achieve exactly the same sound as in the examples. Slice them into one-shots or loops — they provide excellent material for further editing and processing."
