DnB on a 1996 Quasimidi Raven Max Synth (Constellations by Fred V & Grafix)

"What an underrated beast of a synth. Everything you hear is made on an old German Groove synth built in 1996, using only the built-in 'Motivator' sequencer and the internal ROM sounds. No external FX.
Used a few tricks to get this to work. Recorded it in double-time at 87 BPM on a 32nd note grid, so that I could get round the 8 bar loop limit, and effectively record 16 bar loops. I also doubled the melody line on two tracks, panned L/R and detuned apart by 10 cents so get a wide, thick lead sound.
Apologies for the slightly rough sound quality, I just recorded with my phone between the headphones!"
