Moog Messenger: 64 Analog Bass Presets. No Talk Sound Demo

video upload by Anton Anru

"'Sub Pressure' is a collection of 64 Bass Presets for Moog Messenger.
The patches cover a variety of bass tones: deep and bright, soft and punchy, long and short, static and rhythmical.
🧬 All sounds are very dynamic: they have Velocity, ModWheel, and Aftertouch assignments.
And, of course, you should play with Envelopes, Oscillators and Filter Parameters to get the best experience of the presets.

🧿 The soundset is universal, these basses are suitable for all genres of electronic music, including Techno, House, Trance, Lounge, Downtempo, Funk, Disco, Pop, Acid, Hardcore, IDM, Drum'n'Bass, Breaks, Breakbeat, Trap, Electro, Ambient, Dubstep, EDM, Synth-Pop and others.

💡 Make sure you are using the latest firmware version.
I added drums and pads to the demos to place
the patches in a musical context.
They are not included in the soundset.

How to import the presets.
The soundset comes in two formats: .syx and .moogmessenger.

To upload the Sysex Bank onto the synthesizer, use a SysEx file utility:
For Mac: SysEx Librarian by Snoize
For Windows: MIDI-OX or Bome Send SX

1. Connect Messenger to your computer via USB and select it as the MIDI device in the application settings.
2. Load the 64 individual files from the Sysex -> Patches folder into your Sysex app.
2. On the synthesizer, select the bank and patch (slot) where you want to load the preset.
3. Double-click/play the file in the app (for example, 05-01 BS Outline AA) — it will load into the selected slot on the synthesizer.
4. You can already play the preset. To save it permanently to the synth, press the SAVE button twice.
Repeat this for all 64 presets.
This method also lets you audition presets without saving them to hardware (and without altering your library) until you press SAVE, which is quite convenient.

You can also use the presets with the Moog Messenger Editor app.
1. Import the entire collection:
Open the Libraries tab and click the import library icon (next to the + icon).
Navigate to the file Moog Messenger - Sub Pressure.zip (Editor Files -> Bank).
The library Spiral Motion will appear in your list.
Click Load On Hardware to upload the sounds to the synth.
Bank transfer will overwrite all 16 Banks (the rest are the Init presets). The presets will be located in banks 05-08.
Make a backup before loading.

2. Load individual files into the app’s preset list:
In the top panel (where the preset name is shown), open the menu -> Load From File, and select a file from the Editor Files -> Patches folder.
The file will appear in the preset list (not to be confused with the Libraries).
Double-click the file to launch it and start playing.
As with Sysex, the preset is not written to the synth’s memory until you press SAVE twice on the synthesizer."
