Tropical Fish Wurlitzer Document Archive
This one is in via Paulina Salmas from Tropical Fish who had the following to say;
"I am working on a project that I thought you might be interested in.
I am a keyboard tech, and in 2022 I visited a warehouse packed to the ceiling with Wurlitzer organ parts. The warehouse had been owned by a former Wurlitzer employee, but it had recently been sold, and the new owners intended to destroy everything inside on the following Monday. There, I purchased around 100,000 Wurlitzer Co. engineering drawings that would have otherwise been incinerated.
The drawings include dimensions, material specs, and associated paperwork for parts in every Wurlitzer organ, electronic piano, and accessory, including the Sideman drum machine. I am scanning the pages so that the information can be made available to other techs and musicians, to help them repair vintage Wurlitzer keyboards and keep them alive.
About 2,000 drawings are available here, and I will be uploading more as I scan them: https://www.tropicalfisharchive.com."
