Simultan, Léo Küpper, and Cybernetic Expansion

"In 1970 Roland Kayn moved to the Netherlands and began working at the Instituut voor Sonologie in Utrecht with two very important people - Jaap Vink and Léo Küpper. There he began to refine and expand his ideas of cybernetic music and his first large scale piece was Simultan - realized primarily in Bruxelles using Léo Küpper's home built GAME (Générateur Automatique de Musique Electronique) synthesizer.

In this video we look at some of the ideas behind Simultan and use those principles to create multiple simultaneous processes which influence each other.
