Klang Legio: Crazy drum with zappy percussion on the Legio platform

video upload by Noise Engineering

"Klang Legio is a wacky midrange percussion voice based on the Basimilus engine, built for zaps, hits, and all sorts of wild drum sounds.

Let's start with Decay. This takes your hits from short and snappy, into ringing percussion.

Impact changes the character and punch of every hit.

The Harm switch changes the harmonic structure of the voice, while Spread changes how those harmonics are distributed.

And of course, you can sequence or modulate Pitch, quickly turning those percussive hits into zaps, drops, and other melodic weirdness.

And a press of the Pitch encoder gives you a quick mute.

You can also bring in other sounds into the audio inputs, mixing them right into Klang's output.

Klang turns Legio into a pretty unusual percussion voice, but that's only one possibility. Swap the firmware over USB and your Legio can become a different drum, synth voice, effect, or processor.
