"Welcome to Vol. 47 of my Torso S-4 Explorations series!

In this video, I’m sharing an improvised live performance that dives deep into the sonic capabilities of the Torso Electronics S-4. Before hitting record, I prepared 10 distinct scenes. On the S-4, a scene acts as a complete snapshot of the sampler’s state—capturing all audio buffers, parameters, and modulations. Each of these 10 scenes features 4 samples spread across the 4 tracks.

Throughout the performance, I iterate and transition through these scenes live, manipulating the audio to see where the S-4 takes me. The video is minimally annotated so you can just sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride.
