Yamaha AN1x & CS1x Combined Demo

video upload by Pro Synth Network

"The Yamaha AN1x, like many synths of the time, came with a bunch of built-in demo tracks, but unlike other synths, one of the demo tracks was specifically designed to work when the AN1x was connected via MIDI to its slightly older, sample-based sibling, the more affordable, but equally fun CS1x.

I've never tried it out until now, spurred on by Brad's superb VANIX plugin, coming soon courtesy of ‪@ISLAelectronics‬ [see this post]. So here are the two synths, connected via ‪@CMEPro‬ WIDI (drink! 🍻) under some 90s lighting, sharing a very anachronistic choooooooon!!!

Also featured for eye candy purposes are other Yamaha units of the time, a couple of SU-10 sampling units, an RS7000 and an RM1x, all fed through an 02Rv2 mixer, using no external FX.

No... YOU have a Yamaha problem! 😉"
