700_funtion_M4L with 700 voice system

video upload by Gm Xe

"The 700 Complex Function Generator test features multi-point drawing and a time-scanning system. In this patch, the CV output from the 700 Function plugin is routed into the 700 Voice. This plugin will be available for free download on my website.

Paying tribute to the classic Buchla 700, the 700 FM Voice reimagines the iconic voice section's characteristics. We have rebuilt the algorithmic structure and user interface to better suit modular usage. The 700 Voice features a unique sound synthesis approach, incorporating elements of both classic FM and phase synthesis. Although it is a monophonic oscillator, we have endowed it with complex and powerful sound-shaping capabilities, as well as the design space to continue developing new algorithms in the future. The module is available in both standalone and expanded versions.

Four variable waveform oscillators, Each oscillator features four selectable modes, indicated by LED colors: red for mode 1, green for mode 2, blue for mode 3. White for mode4 (independent osc with 1.2v/oct).

A global frequency control.
Six independent index controls, supporting 0-10 V CV modulation.
A/B dual mixed output with CV modulation capability, plus a dedicated output for channel B.
The top left OLED allows mode switching for the oscilloscope via an encoder and provides access to expanded feature options.
The middle OLED displays logic diagrams for twelve algorithms, with buttons for downward selection and a "Res" button to return to the previous level.
Expanded oscillator waveform selection, including sine-saw, sine-square, and PWM square shapes.
Enhanced waveform simulation with jitter modulation.
Independent wave shape modulation for A and B outputs.
Support for expansion modules.
The standalone version allows MIDI CC input control.
Global support for 1.2 V/oct.
Power requirements: ±15V, 12V, 5V, QG, NG.

700 System + Auratie: Now a Soundscape Generator

video upload by Gm Xe

"This is a fascinating setup: using Landscape and Evicshen as a resonator for the guitar, feeding the signal into Auratie via the 208, and modulating it with Auratie’s new self-feedback feature. The 700 sends out a low-frequency sound field, which is then AB-morphed using the 208’s LFO.

Put on your headphones and enjoy — hope you like it!"

700fm voice patch share# 3 sets 6voices

video upload by Gm Xe

"Share 3 different sets about 700 Voice

1. **Stereo Setup with Percussion Sounds**: Set up dual-channel outputs for A and B, routed to the LPG. Use a 5-step global sequencer to trigger the envelopes, with oscillators 2 and 4 utilizing LFOs to modulate the pitch. This setup will create dynamic, evolving tonal changes for a richer sound experience.

2. **Bass Line Control with 250e**: Use the 250e to control the bass line pitch with oscillator 2 operating in green mode to correspond with oscillator 1. This creates an 8th-octave phaser effect. The B channel is mixed into channel A, while global pitch control is applied for additional flexibility in sound design.

3. **Fifth Interval Oscillator Setup**: Set up two separate A and B channels, each with oscillators tuned to a perfect fifth interval. The output from the fifth interval is routed to channel B and processed through a delay. Envelope control is used to create a legato effect during playback, and a small amount of external reverb is added for depth.

700FM system with buchla 200

video upload by Gm Xe

"In this video, a small system is created using the 700FM paired with the Auratie and Buchla 200, performing a demo. The Auratie is routed through the 292 to form a send-return effects chain."

Gm Xe Introduces AuraTie 4U Digital Effects Module

AuraTie 4U reverb vibrate delay Walk through video upload by Gm Xe

"The official announcement of the Auratie 4U stereo module.

AURATIE is a stereo digital effects module designed in Buchla voltage format, featuring dual-channel stereo output. It employs a Tini transfer switch that supports automatic switching between mono and stereo inputs. AURATIE aims to explore the extension of single tones into the stereo realm. It transforms simple sounds into expansive and reshaped experiences, making it particularly effective for designing drone soundscapes. The interaction between vibrate and delay creates unique feedback with different delays and frequency changes across the left and right channels. The reverb’s gritty design, combined with the vibrate interaction, allows for intriguing experimentation, enabling users to switch the positions of the two parts for further exploration."

New Buchla 700FM Format Modular

video uploads by Gm Xe

This one is in via Soviet Space Child.

"Hi, I have been a buchla fan for a long time, and I have always been curious about buchla 700. I immediately bought the id 700 when it was available, which is really a great app. However, I like hardware instruments with intuitive operation. Thanks to my good friend kweiwen, who wrote the initial code for me, I opened this mysterious instrument. After half a year of learning and development, I finally completed this module. Although there are still some improvements to be made, I am very happy, the sound is really good, I try to make myself comfortable with it, so the design is based on personal habits.

The main program is written in max/msp, using daisyseed to implement gen ~ code burning. buchla700 is a very complex instrument, although it cannot be perfectly reproduced, I think half of the core content is there."

"I apologize for the delay; the new images and information are still being prepared. The images feature three modules: on the left, the 3U modules include the 700 expansion and 700 voice, while the 1U module on the right is an effects module that will be introduced separately later. Thank you for your patience!

In the realm of synthesizers, the nearly forgotten classic Buchla 700 is celebrated for its unique sound design. We are thrilled to introduce our tribute module, showcasing a distinctive 700 FM Voice module powered by re-optimized algorithms. With its intuitive interface, you can dive in effortlessly, whether you’re crafting intricate soundscapes or vibrant melodies. This module is designed to inspire creativity and unlock endless possibilities.

This module is a monophonic sound source featuring four variable waveform oscillators and six specialized algorithmic index amplifiers, creating complex modulation patterns with twelve algorithms. Each oscillator and index group can be individually controlled via CV inputs, with dedicated CV attenuation for each. It provides a dual-path mix output for Group A/B, enabling CV morphing, along with a separate output for channel B. Both A and B channels offer independent wave shapes and drift modulation. Each oscillator supports wave morphing between sine, saw, and square waveforms, with the option to expand using an additional 12 control knobs. Two OLED displays showcase configuration algorithm graphics and a dual-channel oscilloscope. The DA output is 48 kHz/24-bit, with finely tuned oscillator algorithms. Outputs are carefully calibrated through analog amplification circuits, fully compatible with Buchla-format CV modulation, and support 1.2 V/oct and MIDI input.
