RIP Les Paul

Les Paul passed away today at the age of 94. The image to the left is from this obit article in The New York Times [Jennifer Taylor for The New York Times - Les Paul at Carnegie Hall in 2005]. He would have been 90 or so. Amazing.
I originally was not going to put a post up as this site focuses on synths not guitars, however his work did lead to the effects we use with our synths. RIP Les Paul, you will be missed.

And You Thought Vintage Synths Were Pricey

This actually popped in on the AH list in response to the "high" cost of vintage synths. What you are looking at is a Vintage 1957 Les Paul HUMBUCKER GOLDTOP. The Buy it Now (BIN) price? $205,000 via this auction. BTW, I asked a friend of mine if any sites out there were salvaging the shots of these vintage pieces of art and he said only what people post now and then in forums. So...
