The Microlith Synth
Published on Aug 15, 2014 ScrewedCircuitz
"Here's my handmade synth/tone generator based on the Microlith calculator :
http://www.cs.ubc.ca/~hilpert/eec/cal...
The build:
- The tones came from this calculator but then were manipulated to my liking ;-)
- 8 step voltage controlled sequencer with on/off pitch switches
- Self oscillating delay
- Touch sensitive springs
- Some filtering/volume knob
Powers up with a 9v battery and to my surprise, doesn't drain it quickly at all? :-) and I have to say, It works and sounds best through amp!
This was recorded in a semi-abandoned cottage through an inexpensive Roland amplifier (line out) and a bit of compression."
Note this is the post to feature the Microlith.
