"RANDOM SOURCE SERGE VC RESONANT EQUALIZER (VCRESEQ)

Finally available after popular demand, the Serge Modular VC Resonant Equalizer by Random*Source packages the beloved Serge RESEQ into an expanded format with voltage control over each of the 10 bands. With the exception of the top and bottom bands, the Resonant EQ has garnered a reputation for its universally musical characteristics, thanks to most bands being spaced apart by Major 7ths rather than perfect octaves. This means that multiple bands won't overly resonate with the frequency contents of arbitrary signal inputs, leading to more versatility and usefulness on a variety of sounds.

Each band can boost or cut its corresponding frequencies by up to 12dB, and the CV control capabilities of this version make it more dynamic and magical than ever. Attenuverters for each allow you to define how much a control voltage will positively or negatively affect that band. Two inputs allow you to process multiple signals simultaneously without an external mixer, while a Feedback control allows you to introduce chaos and instability for a variety of delightful chirps, squelches, and squeals. In addition to dual main mix outputs, two Combination outputs give you some additional flexibility in routing and patching—though keep in mind that this module is designed for musicality and not mixing perfection, as moving any band will affect both outputs. Should you have the space to welcome it into your modular rack, the VCRESEQ would be a phenomenal addition to your Eurorack system and greatly expanding your sonic palette.

"BOUNDARY LAYER by ‪@SCHLAPPIENGINEERING‬ is an apex triple function generator for eurorack. It has all the tricks up its sleeves and (as usual) is just a joy to work with due to it's well thought out interface and versatile feature set.
In this video I tried getting across how damn useful function generators are, how BOUNDARY LAYER works and how much fun it is to make patches with the module.

Boundary Layer is a triple cycling slew acting as a powerhouse of modulation, audio
mayhem, and obscure modular tricks. Each of the channels can act individually as:
-a modulation oscillator
-voltage controlled slew (including portamento)
-AR/AD envelope (decay or release determined by choice of input).

All three channels are tied together by three global inputs, as well as three outputs which select the MAX, MID, and MIN of all three voltages. Using different combinations at audio rate allows for patch programmable stereo drone synth capabilities.

Deep dive into the PCO aka Precision Oscillator by Serge Modular

"Today we check out the one of the most (seemingly) simple building block of the Serge Modular: the PCO aka Precision Oscillator.

This module does have some tricks up it's sleeve and is not as simple as it seem especialy, when it comes to it's sync behaviour, but overall it's a great sounding analog oscillator that is well... very precise hahaha.

This makes it ideal in this dual configuration to be used as a classic "carrier" / "modulator" configuration with itself and with other modules.

Explaining and Testing the Stereo VCFQ by Serge Modular

"Today we check out the the new stereo version of my favorite filter ever, the Serge VCFQ.

I'll exlain how the module works and make you listen to some basic sweeps but then we'll explaore some more thought out patches, not only is stereo.
It's as always a very patch programmable module that can be a sound processor and / or generator, for very tamed to completly wild.
