The 500 Synthesizer (version 2) by Peter Smith
video upload by SmithComposition
"A new demonstration of the free VSTi software synthesizer designed by Peter Smith. Simple sequence using the resonant filter controls. The last fwe seconds are in "destroy" mode, which crushes the signal and adds (user defined) dual wave based distortion.
Download it for free from http://www.smithcomposition.com
This synthesizer features an LFO, filter, plus pseudo granular synthesis and a special 'destroy' mode which chews up the signal. Intended for experimentation, great for generating new rhythms.
This is the first piece of software completed by Peter Smith, so it will certainly be subject to fixes and modification in the future.
***THIS IS VERSION 2! A couple of minor but useful updates: added a master volume control and changed the mode control to an LED style switch.***"

Peter Smith, secret synth project
video upload by SmithComposition
"This is a demonstration of a software synthesizer workstation that I have been working on for a while. Built with synthedit, it is one of many projects that I am in the process of designing for possible use in my own music.
As you can see here, this instrument has two separate synthesizers with their own sequencers. Each synth also has it's own set of processors with different modes for 'clean', 'granualize' and 'destroy', as well as 2 different LFOs per synth. It also features a simple drum machine with distortion and bit crush based effects. I am still working on the graphical interface and appearance.
I also have a simpler version of this software (vst) without the sequencer or drum machine, which I will make available for download on my website when it is ready.
Please check my website for future announcements and updates: http://www.smithcomposition.com"
