"This is an exceptional piece of music hardware art, a one-of-a-kind FolkTek Feedscape. It's a 9V battery operated, polyphonic synthesizer that runs on feedback and responds to touch, featuring pitch-shifting knobs, effect-toggling clamps, and tone/distortion generators. It must be seen and heard to be believed.

In fine working order, made by Arius Blaze and Ben Houston in Ohio for FolkTek. More information and demo videos here: http://folktek.com/instruments/symbiotic/feedscape"

"Fantastic string machine from 1978, lovely warm sound characteristic of the classic Solina String Ensemble there are two effects which do not seem to function however this does not affect the preset sounds or filters that control them (more detail in video description) Overall a great piece of playable analog kit, add some analog phase or chorus and you will be immersed in string machine heaven..."

The Tallest Man on Earth "There's No Leaving Now" Live in the Moog Sound Lab

The Tallest Man on Earth performs There's No Leaving Now live in the Moog Sound Lab
Published on Apr 25, 2013 MoogMusicInc·233 videos

"Swedish folk artist Kristian Matsson, aka The Tallest Man on Earth, stepped into the Moog Sound Lab along with Strands of Oaks to reinvent the title track from his 2012 album There's No Leaving Now. Matsson trades the solo piano of the original song for the infinite sustain of the Moog Guitar which he plays through an MF-103 12-Stage Phaser and an MF-104Z Analog Delay. In a rare moment of collaboration Strands of Oaks' Timothy Showalter accompanies Matsson on a Minimoog Voyager while drummer Chris Ward uses a Trap-Kat midi controller to trigger the percussive sounds of three Rack Mount Voyagers.

macumbista Spring SoundBoxes 2013

via macumbista where you'll find more pics.

"The Spring SoundBoxes are small, portable and battery-powered electro-acoustic instruments. They can create a variety of drone and reverb-type sounds through feedback between a small speaker and a resonant piezo-electric microphone, as seen in this video [previously posted here]. Or they can bring out the hidden sounds within found objects as seen in this video [previously posted here].

These SoundBoxes are unique, handmade works of sonic art, made from German cigar boxes dating from the 1930′s to the 1960′s, and feature 92mm black speakers, a resonant-spring contact mic, a line-out for recording and “circuit-bending” body contacts. They can also simply be used as cigar-box amplifiers for whatever other electronic instruments you might have.

Each of these SoundBoxes can be purchased for EUR 83 (EU) / EUR 69.75 (ex-EU) plus postage costs. Please include the number in the edition which interests you. This is the first ten of an edition of thirty this season. Contact “macumbista” AT_THE_DOMAIN “gmail.com”.

The next SoundBoxes in this edition will feature a smaller, backlit 77mm transparent speaker with artwork inside the boxes, and will be announced in the coming week. Thank you for your kind attention..."
