"Vintage 1079 Technics Sy-1010 monophonic analog synth. This model was only sold in Japan.
Great sounding instrument. Lots of attitude. Agressive and fat sounding filters, quick LFO, noise generator."

"The unit powers up and all keys and buttons work except for the ensemble. That only works when you play organ and strings at the same time. For some reason it doesn't work on them individually. If this feature is essential to you, this is not the unit for you. Otherwise it looks and sounds great. Believe it or not, I think the organ sounds even better than the strings its famous for!.."

Made in Bavaria.

"MAM brings you a carefully designed 16-step sequencer that finally lets you have all the fun you want with your favorite sounds.

Creating the professional House, Techno, Jungle, Tribal or any other dance music that you want to make is easy with the SQ16.

The SQ16 controls drum expanders like the new ADX 1 and Bass Synths like the MB33 MK 11.

Step programming with 16 LEDs enables the "live" setting of STEPS and ACCENTS, for 16 Steps per each of the 64 patterns you can store. Continual synchronisation information about this groove-central (sync, midi-cock, start/stop/continue) is at your service.

The SQ16 offers several functions for extra fun and games, like delay, arpeggio and rotate.

According to "Keyboards" about the SQ16: "...a real champ in its price-class, fun to use and a wake-me-up for tired rack mount users."

Some nice features of the SQ16

Notes can be recorded into it, they don't have to be programmed. Also, you can record the notes on a midi channel of your choice that may be different from the channel that the track transmits. It has an arpeggiator, and you can record the arpeggiated notes into sequencer patterns. There is a rotate function that can shift and do unpredictable things to the step play position, allowing interesting pattern variations. Patterns can be chained or combined into songs (14 song steps with up to 32 repeats of each). There are 64 patterns and 8 songs, but these can be saved into one of 8 memory blocks (with all parameters). The midi set concept allows a pattern to be quickly mapped into one of 16 midi sets that define the midi channels for each track (and note numbers for the drum tracks).
