Hi everyone!

The NEW Squarp Core Changed Everything

video upload by EZBOT

"Squarp did something truly amazing. They made it possible to use their incredibly powerful XP32 expander for the Hermod+ with any MIDI equipment you own. This is an incredible upgrade for people like me who already know and love their hardware sequencers like Elektron, M8 Tracker, Polyend Tracker, or your favorite DAW like Bitwig and Ableton. The unit is packed with features and it has ridiculously nice screen and workflow. I barely had to read the manual to get things started. I am overjoyed! Today we talk about what it means and test it out with a system I just built."

Melancholy ambient destruction - Gene Synth GX & Black Hole Symmetry

video upload by Lo-Fi-Si

"Gene Synths - GX
Collision Devices - Black Hole Symmetry

Big fuzz around 02:40 🤯

Combining my favourite lofi synth with the destructive power of the Black Hole Symmetry.

Working my way through the effects chain; modulated delay, pitched reverb, then the final massive fuzz.

The harmonics when the fuzz distorts the feedback and delay trails is mesmerising.

When the feedback is set just right and combined with the reverb it creates a wonderful ‘space’ like atmosphere.

A monster of a pedal."

WMD Bus Rider – Features & Controls Explained

video upload by WMDevices

"Bus Rider is a Eurorack mastering module built for the end of your chain. It goes in the master insert of the Performance Mixer MkII or at the end of any Eurorack setup. It combines three modules in one: a 3-band isolator EQ, a multiband compressor, and a look-ahead limiter with saturation. It has stereo in and out, a dedicated low cut CV input, and an assignable CV input.

In this video, Alex runs a patch through Bus Rider and goes through every feature and control, with bypass comparisons along the way. He covers the full-isolation EQ and setting crossovers, multiband compression thresholds and per-band ratios, and limiter gain, ceiling, and release. He also demos the saturator, which leaves the low band alone by default to protect your headroom, and the hard clipper. The video ends with an ambient patch example, low cut CV, assigning CV, saving and loading presets, and stereo link.

WMD Channel Surfer (CHNL SRFR) – Features & Controls Explained

video upload by WMDevices

"Channel Surfer (CHNL SRFR) is a 4HP stereo channel strip that combines three modules in one: a 3-band EQ, performance filters with drive, and a 9-effect processor with stereo ducking. A three-way switch selects which section the three knobs control, and all three sections run at the same time. Settings stay where you leave them when you switch. Channel Surfer has its own stereo ins and outs, so it works anywhere in your system. It also connects to the channel insert headers on the back of the Performance Mixer MkII, which keeps your front panel patching clean.

In this video, Alex covers installing Channel Surfer on the Performance Mixer MkII, the EQ with shiftable band frequencies, the low pass and high pass filters with resonance and post-filter drive, a tour of all nine effects, sidechain ducking, saving and loading presets, and assigning the CV input to any main knob parameter.
