TIPTOP AUDIO: MINIMAL TECHNO

TIPTOP AUDIO: MINIMAL TECHNO from Station 252 on Vimeo.

"Minimal techno jam using mostly Tiptop Audio modules. Trying different ways to have two parallel sequences. Z8k is great for that: running two separately reset sequences on Z8000 - vertical 7 step is playing ONE loaded with DOTS sound filtered by Z2040 and opened by a couple of Z4000, horizontal 8 step is playing Z3000 (saw) running through Tiptop Fold Processor and R*S VQVCF again governed by a couple of Z4000s.

Also features:

BD808

ONE: Hi Hat sound (off DOTS) going through Roland Demora

ONE: Ghost snare sound - running through reverbs and delay - no dry sound

Long reverb: Z-DSP: Halls OPf Valhalla ROOM

Short reverb: Z-DSP: eVerb 80s Verb 2

Delay: Alright Devices Chronoblob (feedback through Tiptop Z2040, output through WMD SSF Multi Mode Filter (Hi Pass)

Gates and triggers sequenced by Tioptop Circadian Rhythms and Trigger Riot

TIPTOP ONE: Selecting files with CV

TIPTOP ONE: Selecting files with CV from Station 252 on Vimeo.

"Testing the new (1.4b) firmware for the Tiptop ONE that adds adjustable CV/Trigger delay.

Some sequencers will not output CVs and Gates/Triggers at precisely the same time forcing the super fast and precise ONE to play sample that was selected by CV on the previous step. The available Short / Medium / Long delay times can be select with Config file.

In this video: Triggering ONE loaded with DOTS with Verbos Multistage and later with ER-101. Sometimes manually offsetting the playing group of files to play other files with the same sequence. In both cases using Medium delay setting. Both sequencers were not playing nicely with ONE before, but as you can see its super stable and reliable now."

TIPTOP ONE: Accelerating DOTS 50 - 500 BPM

TIPTOP ONE: Accelerating DOTS 50 - 500 BPM from Station 252 on Vimeo.

"Demo of the upcoming DOTS - samples collection for the fantastic ONE sample player eurorack module from Tiptop Audio. Created by Konstantin Gervis (zv-k.com / station252.com) specifically for the module. Synthesized using a huge Eurorack modular system, various analog and digital synthesizers and a music easel. The sounds were carefully selected to work particularly well in ONE and to be highly usable for live and studio work.

In this video:

Using the ''Trigger Sequence'' mode to go through samples. Accelerating from 50 beats per minute up to 500 and then back to just 1. Sequenced with Circadian Rhythms, ONE is playing DOTS on every step (16th)

no FX were used."

In this video: other than the BD808 bass drum all the sounds are coming from two ONE sample player modules. The first is playing the synth lines - pitch sequenced on Z8000, triggers on the Trigger Riot. The second one is playing the percussion samples - sequenced on the Trigger Riot. A bit of Halls of Valhalla Room on one Z-DSP and Clocked Delays on the second, but there is dry sound too, the FX are to give a taste of how it sounds in a context of a track.
