Modular Synth vs Pedalboard

poorness studios

"I thought this would be a fun video. I play guitar through my modular synthesizer and my pedalboard trying to create three sounds on each: 1) spacious clean tones, 2) modulated lead tones, and 3) sonic decimation. Have a listen and see which one you like best."

An Odd Trio (CBG, Shruit Box, & Synthesizer)

video upload by Poorness Studios

"Just for the heck of it, I decided to see what cigar box guitar (CBG), shruti box, and a DSI Mopho analog synthesizer sound like together. It may be an odd trio but it turns out the combination works pretty well together. Who knew?

10 Iconic Rock Riffs Played on the Artuira Microbrute

Published on Apr 2, 2020 poorness studios

"During self-isolation, I was messing around with my Arturia Microbrute and managed to find a setting that emulated a distorted power chord on a guitar. This gave me an idea and I quickly came up with 10 riffs I could play on the synthesizer. I vary the envelope and filter settings a bit from song to song but its more or less the same sound on the Microbrute.

Cool Find: Casio DG-1 (1980's guitar synthesizer)

video upload by Poorness Studios

"I have an incredibly cool pawn shop find to share with you all today. This is a Casio DG-1 with (what appears to be) the original case and accessories. Casio made a series of digital guitars in the 1980s and this one seems to be in really nice condition. In this video, I go over the specs/features and do a demo of all the built-in sounds.
