Plan B Model 16 Spectral Multiplexer

Via Peter Grenader on the Plan B list:

"Working after the shop closes and into the wee hours for the last couple of nights, I've completed the prototype of the Model 16. I normally never go here, but I have to say that this one is a winner. You guys are going to be pleased. Timbrally it dances between Fixed Filter Bank behavior to Vocorder precision at the turn of a pot...with voltage control of all 12 filters, lowpass and bandpass mode sweeping with switch selectable discrete and blended stepping modes.

It's going to run a bit more than the other products in the line, simply becase of the faceplate size and the massive circuit behind it(over 200 caps, many of which are polystyrene's, well over 20 ICs, not to forget five PCBs). It is the most complex circuit I've ever embarked upon, up to and including the analog Milton.

A couple days away just because I earned it, and then it's onto the completion of the PCB art, which has been halfway there for some time.

I would expect to see these to market some time in the next two months, possibly earlier."

Title link takes you to the listing on Novamusik. So far I haven't found a picture of the unit. It's supposed to be ultra portable. If you know of one, please comment and I'll update the post.

Belgian Electronic Instruments Festival

"A meeting between musicians, intruments and sound lovers ! The goal is to "promote" electronic instruments and discover them the best way : by playing them !

We also want to mix people from different horizons, active or not in the belgian electronic music scene.

Everyone coming to the BEIF is invited to bring their electronic instruments. You will be able to show (off) your own abilities and test other people's instruments. And this time it won't be like the music store : nobody is going to ask you "May I help you ?"

As it is our first edition, we don't know yet how things are going to turn out. But after the speaking-testing-playing-drinking time of the afternoon, it's up to us to turn the whole thing into a delightful jam session of experimental noises."

via Thomas B:

"I organise the Belgian Electronic Instruments festival this weekend. I thought you might be interested for a post. It's basicaly a vintage/new synth meeting in the center of Brussels, with jam sessions and concert during the evening."

Thanks Thomas! Title link takes you to more info.
