Shannon's "Let the Music Play" Modded Roland TR 808 with MIDI

via this auction
"This is an 808 with history. All the early Shannon hits i.e. Let The Music Play and many dance, Latin, and freestyle hits in the 80's, were in fact done on this specific 808.

We had it modified for midi in the late 80's, to make it more efficient in the studio. When we did the modification, we also had separate tone modifications done for the snare, clap, rim and kick drum. The kick drum has standard decay that ranges up to infinite decay. Although these mods were done, you can very easily turn off the midi and the machine goes back to the original form.

If you have any questions regarding this 808, call us at:
Legend Underground Studios" - number at the auction while up.

CREAMWARE KLANGBOX MINIMAX

via this auction

"Hard to find rack version of Creamware's ASB MiniMax, which is the synth without the knobs. All parameters have MIDI ControlChange numbers so you can edit on your own controller, so it doesn't require the computer editor. It can run standalone and be controlled by MIDI. This sounds very close, google it and check out the reviews. Also has a pair of inputs and the unit has several voices of polyphony (only one part). If your looking for MiniMoog sound and the ability to create your own patches, this has to be the most cost effective way to do so."
