Arp Solus Analog Synthesizer

"Specs: The Solus is a 2 VCO, monophonic analog synthesizer with a 3-octave, 37-note (C-C) keyboard. It, like most ARP synths, features mostly sliders instead of knobs. It was built into a flight-case, with all of its inputs and outputs on the inside of the case lid.
Both VCO's feature a slider selecting variable waveforms from sawtooth to pulse, as well as a slider controlling pulse-width and the amount of pulse-width modulation. VCO2 is syncable to VCO1 and can be detuned. The pulse-width can be modulated by the LFO or the ADSR. The VCF (four-pole, lowpass filter) has controls for frequency, resonance, as well as three sliders controlling modulation amount from the keyboard, the LFO, and the ADSR. It also features a digital ring-modulator and a pitch-bend knob. The back panel features interfaces (in and out) for CV, Gate, and Trig. Also in the top panel is a footpedal input and External Audio input, as well as high and low outputs.

There is a small piece of reflective tape marking the correct output for the road crew. I thought it best not to remove it after all these years. You will not find a sweeter, more complete and original Solus than this unit. It’s a great unit but needs a new home with someone that has the time to play and appreciate it."

OSCar synthesizer w/ MIDI

" This auction is for a fully functioning, recently serviced and totally overhauled OSCar synthesizer, with MIDI. This is a great sounding synth with a lot of features that are unique even today. This one has been fully overhauled (see below), so if you're looking for one in great condition, this is it!

The following work was recently done on it:

New backup battery installed.
Replacement of all electrolytic capacitors (full recap).
All potmeters have been cleaned.
The keybed has been disassembled and deep cleaned.
The pin connectors between PCB’s have been replaced with hardwired flat cables, gone are your random OSCar issues! A superb mod.
There is one functional issue to note: the Separation knob does not work as specified in the manual. Whereas the manual suggests filter separation is at 0 when the knob is fully CCW, on this model 0 filter separation is at 12 o'clock. I have confirmed that this is the case for many OSCars--it appears to be a change that was made during production--but most importantly, it doesn't affect the how the function works."

Maplin 3800 analog monophonic synthesizer

"Rare Maplin 3800 analogue synth. Good working condition. Serviced 2 months ago.

It has great sound capabilities because of the internal routing, the two VCOs (syncable), the noise generator, the S&H circuit (three different sources), three modulation sources, the ring modulator, the LFO, the VCF, the reverberation, the equalizer and the unique Transient circuit. The Transient Generator has 7 controls; Start Level (+ & -), Delay 1, Slope 1, Hold Level (+ & -), Hold Delay, Slope 2, and Final Level (+ & -). This means that you can, for example, control the Filter to close off and then open up and close off again in one envelope cycle. Like the Trapezoid circuit inside the EMS VCS3 synthesizer.

The Filter is a 24dB per octave type, just like the Minimoog, so you can get all the classic Bass and Lead sounds from this synth."

ROLAND Juno 6 Synthesizer SN 204919

"The Juno-6 is a 6-voice polyphonic, digital oscillator, analog keyboard with a 5-octave, 61-note (C-C) keyboard.
Though it only has one DCO per voice, it is said to have a warm and full sound. The DCO is switchable between any or all of the following waveforms: Pulse (with pulse-width modulation from either the LFO or the ADSR), sawtooth, and a sub-oscillator (square wave). White noise could also be mixed in with the oscillators.
Each voice has its own VCF with a continuously variable control for keyboard follow, and an input on the back panel for voltage control. There is also a separate high-pass filter.
The LFO features controls for rate and delay, as well as a switch that toggles between two modes, auto (modulation starts when set delay time has passed) and manual (modulation starts when the LFO trigger button, next to the mod wheels on the performance panel, is pressed).
The Juno-6 featured an arpeggiator with controls for mode, range, and rate with a clock input on the back panel, and a chorus with two buttons, each button adding more chorus. In addition to arpeggiator and filter control inputs, the back panel also had both mono and stereo outputs, a headphone jack, and a sustain/hold pedal input."

"The bundle of equipment includes the following:

Yamaha CX5MII/128 Music computer,
FM Sound Synthesiser Unit II SFG-05 module
Voicing Module DX7 YRM-103 module
YK-20 Yamaha Music Computer Keyboard
Everything seems to be in good condition with the synthesiser and voicing modules still in their original boxes.

Please contact me if you have any questions. I do not know much about the synthesiser but I found the following description if that helps, though of course I cannot guarantee the accuracy of the information!

MSX midi computer with built in 8 note polyphonic multi-timbral FM (frequency modulation) sound synthesiser unit.

• Midi in & out
• Stereo output
• Sound generator equivilent to Yamaha DX synths(eg. DX 27/DX 100) but with huge advantage of on-screen editing (as apposed to synths' tiny LCD)

Yamaha Music Computer CX5MII Owner's Manual

The Yamaha CX5MII/128 is an extremely rare MSX synthesizer/music computer from 1985. The CX5MII/128 was the third Yamaha MSX computer and was aimed squarely at the music market. It has additional memory, but is very similar in operation to the original CX5M. The main difference is the presence of the SFG-05 sound module offering the ability to use a MIDI controller keyboard instead of the YK-01/10/20 series keyboards and no need for the external power 'brick'. The synthesis is exactly the same as that of a Yamaha DX-27 or Yamaha DX-100.

Detailed Specifications:
* Sound Generator: FM (4 Operator, 8 Algorithms)
* Polyphony: 8 Notes
* Internal Voices: 46
* Connections: MIDI In/Out, Audio L/R, Keyboard In, General - Video, Audio, RGB, RF, Cassette, Joystick 1/2."
