"Using the modDemix we can turn the Final out of the DPO VCOB into a sawtooth wave by inverting it at audio-rate with the Square wave. Mixing it with the VCOA sawtooth results in something like a classic "supersaw", a great source for resonant filtering with the MMG.

"アナログ・シンセと言えば「減算合成」に縛られているかのような先入観を抱きがちです。ですが波形を複雑に歪ませ、倍音をアグレッシブに増殖させる回路もあります。その一つが「Serge」システムの「Waveshaper」です。一つのモジュールの中に同一の回路が３個並び、それぞれが２系統ずつのCVを受けられるので、合計６系統のCVで制御可能です。

「Waveshaper」は入力した波形の倍音構造にとても敏感に反応します。たとえばのこぎり波のVCOをローパスのVCFにくぐらせた上で「Waveshaper」に送ると「なんでこんなむちゃくちゃな歪み方をするんだ？」というほど倍音が加えられます。ソフトシンセ「Massive」の「Formant」モードにも似ています。

一見とてもシンプルな設計に見えるので見落としがちですが、とても強烈な回路です。「Silent Way」プラグインを使えば、もちろんDAWからも制御可能になります。

This is a demonstration of how the Serge Triple Waveshaper module can be used to create a Dubstep formant wobble, meaning a Yoy sound.

The Waveshaper does not have much explicit documentation, so experimentation is required to crack its code. Using an oscilloscope reveals the non-linear ways of the Waveshaper. A saw-tooth like ramp acquires a bottom end. Passing the same ramp through a VCF first then into the Waveshaper produces unexpected results.

For those who are familiar with the VST "Massive" synth, this module offers a meaty counterpart to Massive's "Formant" mode.

The Silent Way plug-in by Expert Sleepers can be hooked up for DAW control and Dubstep.

I finally got around to make a collection of 64 patches for the Analog Keys/ Analog Four. And for you who don't have one of those unit, I made a sample pack with recordings of most of the patches.

The samples are long, so if you need one-shot files you'll need to chop them up yourself. But for an Octatrack I figured it's better to have many one-shots in one file.

For the Sysex files you'll need Elektron's SysEx Manager C6, available on the following page, under Downloads: http://eu.elektron.se/support/?connec... The SysEx are only compatible with the Analog Keys and the Analog Four synthesisers by Elektron. Go wild ;-)"
