Glitchy Lofi Beats w/ Rhodes MK2, Digitakt, Prophet-10 | Humid 2025-06-12 by atnr

video upload by atnr

"A track built with the Rhodes MK2, ‪@WeAreElektron‬ Digitakt, and ‪@SequentialLLC‬ Prophet-10—a glitchy lo-fi beat where electric-piano chords, synth lines, and chopped rhythms interlock.

Rhodes MK2: Runs through a CE-5 chorus, then the ‪@ChaseBlissAudio‬ GENERATION LOSS MK II for tape coloration, giving the sound a slightly wobbly feel.

Prophet-10: Plays a simple phrase with reverb from a ‪@strymon‬ blueSky.

Digitone: (using sliced drum hits) reconstructs the rhythm, while the ‪@ChaseBlissAudio‬ MOOD MK II adds reverb, pitch-shifts, and micro-loop glitches."

Korg Volca FM Presets Sound Demo (no talking) with Meris LVX: technoid Sound Pack

video upload by Limbic Bits

"'Technoid' is a sound pack designed for the Korg Volca FM series as well as other synthesizers that support DX7 Sysex import. Featuring a total of 32 Volca FM presets, this soundset is primarily aimed at producers of electronic music genres such as ambient, techno, and IDM.
Technoid” starts with twelve dub chord presets, ideal for dub and Detroit techno when played as minor chords, but also versatile enough for leads and arpeggios. The pack also offers several Pad presets that include both complex digital textures and warm, analog-like tones. Rounding out the collection are seven bass presets and three percussion sounds.

Complex System

video upload by Memetune Studio

"I was wanting a way of setting up an interactive environment to record sounds from some modular systems which could be the basis for some improvised performance based sound explorations

I figured that if I set up some cybersynth patches (ie patches that are evolving by themselves in some way, or are at least dynamically varied over time) and could record some long stereo samples (loops) that could be manipulated live, this might be an interesting thing to do

It occurred to me that the Octatrack, which I got a few years ago and use as a granulating sample mangler, might be perfect to pair with the modulars in this way

The thing about the Octatrack is that it is so unbelievably deep and sophisticated that it can be very difficult to set things up on. I see it as a truly Complex System (AI Overview definition: Complex systems are characterized by numerous interacting parts and emergent behaviors that are not readily predictable from the individual components) and the user manual is utterly hopeless beyond a very basic overview

With the Octatrack you have to basically tell it what you want to do for any given situation. You create a personalised environment inside it and then work within the limitations you set yourself. You have to think of a setup that you want to create, then you build it for yourself using all the different components. In other words, it's not a preset environment that does a few specific things, you have to decide what you want then make it yourself

So I thought it would be useful to have 4 stereo 'Tape Machines' that can be manipulated in real time, with control over the following in each: Pitch, Playback Speed (Timestretch), Direction (forward / reverse) basic Filtering (bandpass) and Delay with feedback. All the things you might find in a Musique Concrete studio in the 1950s (with the addition of granular timetretching)

I might do a more detailed breakdown of the Octatrack patch in the future, but I wanted to live with this setup for a while and make sure it does everything I want it to do in the most efficient way first

This is my first experiment with it, using the Buchla 200. There are two stereo outs from the Buchla - two independent patches running concurrently - going into the Octatrack's dual stereo inputs. These are then fed into the four "tape machines" I created in the Octatrack, which mixes them into one stereo output along with the two live feeds from the Buchla (so what you are hearing is a live mix of the Buchla's 2 voices plus 4 tape loops (30 seconds each) recorded as we go along from the Buchla. As I said, its a complex system 😁"

Sound Exploration: Moog Muse, Microcosm, Digitakt, and Chroma Console

video upload by Hologram Electronics

"This video explores a particular sonic palette we drummed up using the Moog Muse + Microcosm, Digitakt, and finally Chroma Console. The theme of these sounds is constant movement, aided by Microcosm's HOLD SAMPLER and Chroma Console's GESTURE recording feature.

The sound starts with a synthesizer, specifically a relatively simple patch built on the Moog Muse. We explore how feeding seemingly contextless musical material into Microcosm can be transformed into a new source of inspiration/musical accompaniment. The musical motifs created by Microcosm are then further altered using Chroma Console's GESTURE feature, a process that allows us to record and loop the interesting moments that result from turning knobs.

Hopefully, this video serves to demonstrate the type of role our pedals can play in both writing and performance contexts. Thanks for stopping by!"

Machinedrum Randomizer MDPatch for Monome Norns #elektron #machinedrum #monome #norns

video upload by HANJŌ

"Excited to share MDPatch, second of a series of Elektron Randomizers for Monome Norns. It is now available free for the Monome community. This one’s been a real labor of love, built in collaboration with my friend @syntheticjudah, founder of Machine Store—the same force behind the recent resurrection of +Drive support for legacy Elektron machines.

MDPatch is a patch randomizer and performance tool designed specifically for the Elektron Machinedrum, running on Norns. You can explore, randomize, and control synth parameters in real-time via MIDI. It’s a great way to breathe new life into old machines and spark unexpected sounds.

MDPatch came out of countless late-night sessions digging into the legacy Elektrons and wishing for a more playful, exploratory way to shape sounds without diving through menus. With Norns as the brain and MIDI as the bridge, this tool lets you sculpt, mutate, and chance upon new patches in a really immediate way.

We’ve structured it around a 16-page layout—each one corresponding to a track of the Machinedrum and you can find subpages (SYNTH, EFFECTS , ROUTING). You can toggle parameters for randomization, send new patches instantly, and keep that sweet hands-on Elektron flow intact.

Big thanks to this community for being such a constant source of inspiration over the years. If you’ve got suggestions, ideas for expansion or want to share what you make with it—please drop it below"

"The legendary SID Station is a powerful synth that uses two of the famous SID chips (of Commodore 64 fame) to produce complex and rich sounds that range from what you would expect from chiptunes to more sonically adventurous modular style sounds. A very unique sound to add to the toolkit, for sure!"
