In addition to this limited release, we've also teamed up on a new firmware update that adds a proper FX SEND & RETURN routing position, configurable default states, and other user config options... streamlining the process of pairing CHOMPI with all sorts of external FX.

Meng Qi Wing Pinger & Chase Bliss Mood mk2 // Meditation through pings, an intimate process

video upload by Dexba

"Playing with the Wing Pinger by @MengQiMusic is a meditative practice. ๐Ÿชท
While it looks simple (and beautiful) on the outside, the balance required to achieve something to be proud of is considerable.
That’s the reason why, even though I play frequently with this instrument, I rarely record with it, because it feels like being naked and vulnerable.
The right output (the lower note) is going back into the left input, in order to get a mono output that can go into the Mood mk2, since the pedal didn't handle well the double mono nature of the Wing Pinger.
I hope you'll enjoy the meditative nature of this video with me!"

Writing space; Reading time ๐Ÿ“บProphet 10 Ambient & pedals

video upload by Postmodern Machine

"๐ŸŒฟIt would mean so much if you follow me on Bandcamp!๐ŸŒฑ
This track can be purchased on bandcamp!

A journey into nothingness. In August I performed two jams with the Sequential Prophet 10, Fairfield Circuitry Shallow Water, Catalinbread Belle Epoch, and Chase Bliss CXM-1978. One was improvisational and the other sequenced. This is the improvisational piece, which feels spacious and contemplative. ๐ŸŒŒ

I used this pedal setup for some gigs this fall, with my new friend David Lacalamita. I swapped the bulkier P10 for the OB6, with it's onboard effects, seq/arp and other features. The improvisations turned out pretty awesome. ⛅

I hope you enjoy the broad journey of this piece ๐ŸŒ„

2/5/24 (atmospheric river range combinations) ElectroComp EML 200 (x2) + Langevin Filter + CXM 1978

video upload by Cfpp0

"Two ElectroComp EML 200 synthesizers are cross-patched, and their master oscillator ranges are adjusted, which affects both samplers, the envelopes, etc. The bottom EML 200 runs through a passive Langevin filter, panned left, high passing. The Chase Bliss & Meris CXM 1978 is set to a delayed reverb, with the reverb increased towards the end. Also used a Q124 mult."

Korg Monologue & Chase Bliss Mood Mk2 // End of the year!

video upload by Dexba

"I got a bit emotional, with my internal (and external) Monologue, both the instrument and the thoughts.
Plus, since 2023 has been very frustrating in all of its parts, even this video has been compromised by everything that could go wrong: dead batteries, bugs in the Mood (first time ever), the camera shut itself off in some other recordings, and so on.
Two years ago I was playing with a $2000 Moog Matriarch going into a $1.100 CXM1978, now I am running a $200 Korg Monologue through a $400 Mood Mk2, and I am ultimately sad that everything around me seems to be turning into dust, but I am still here, and music is still by my side, and judging from the result, seems like once again music is still the most empathetic and sympathetic friend I have.
I hope you'll enjoy it! And spend some time with your loved ones ๐Ÿงก"

S&H out to the passive control voltage routing panel as a mute. Forgot to utilize the panning on the 131 mixer to bleed signals to the two DDL-3 delays."

11/15/23 Roland Jupiter 6 + Peavey DDL-3 + Chase Bliss CXM 1978 (arpeggio ranges)

video upload by Cfpp0

"Ding ding dong, dong dong ding, dingy dingy ding. Four ranges of an arpeggio, with delay from the Peavey DDL-3 and a wash of pre-delay reverb from the CXM 1978. The CXM returns to two faders on the Mackie Onyx 1604, and they are ridden. Also the settings on the CXM 1978 are gradually changed a few times."
