"This is a live-in-studio video of two original tunes of mine from my latest album Soul & Circuitry (Ropeadope 2025), as a medley: 'Dream' and 'Vol à Calgary' -- we've been playing this live on the road and it's been really fun to explore it every night. The trio features me (Julian Pollack) on keyboards, FX, and sampler, Gianluca Pellerito on drums & SPD-SX, and Riccardo Oliva on bass. This music was recorded live with no overdubs, in one take.

"This is the original and by far the best sounding Nord Lead of them all. While i think that all nord leads are special and amazing, the original just has a bolder, more analog like sound.. very capable of delivering classic tones ranging from Oberheim, Prophet 5, Junos and Moog basses, leads and textures. it all work great.. no operational issues. A couple things to note.. the PCMCIA slot was removed by previous owner, never bothered us, we never needed to store / load anything from an obsolete PCMCIA card.. computers do that job just fine for us. Also, the Decay knob has a tilt to it.. could prob bend it back straight, but again, we never felt the need to do so."

In my experience FM tutorials usually over explain all the wrong things and rarely get as far as the important things like the predictable way operator ratios change the waveform and frequency responses. Also works with the Nord Drum 3 but not with the first version (with 4 channels) which does not support CC-parameter editing. 6 minutes of editing with some captions what's currently going on. From 6:28 the setup and usage of the GLOBAL MODE is shown. GLOBAL MODE allows simultaneous editing of previously teached parameters on all 6 channels, kind of performance mixer."

Nord Lead: I play a slow‑attack pad, routing the output through ‪@gfisys‬ SPECULAR TEMPUS for reverb and delay.

OP‑1 field: Connected to ‪@ChaseBlissAudio‬ LOSSY and GENERATION LOSS MK II while performing. Midway, I feed in a radio signal, shaping the noise in LOSSY.

The bell sounds were recorded with a RØDE NT1-A."

"I've been trying to see what sequencers to keep. Obviously the Spectralis stays, but I kept running into roadblocks with the Cirklon so it was something I needed to write a track with. I did the same with the Squarp Pyramid, but I got stuck working through it. I'm starting to get the hang of the Cirklon though. Although it does often take a few extra button presses to do things I think should be easy, I've figured out other ways to do what I want too. I'll try again with the Pyramid, but most likely that one will be going away.
