Ambient session with Prophet-10 and Field Kit radio wave : Pulsar 2025-10-11 by atnr
video upload by atnr
"A piece created with @SequentialsDeluxe Prophet-10 and @KOMAelektronik Field Kit — an electronica track built from simple synth performance and processed radio sounds.
The Prophet-10 is played with reverb added through the @strymon blueSky.
The Field Kit uses its built-in radio tuner to generate sound, with a monotronDELAY connected to the AUX input and used as a filter delay.
The radio tuner output is processed through @ChaseBlissAudio LOSSY to add a lo-fi texture."

Chromaplane Tuning Website Jam
video upload by Perplex On
"I am really fascinated by the #chromaplane @koma_elektronik but couldn’t justify the purchase yet. But while surfing their website i stumbled across the chromaplane tuning website and couldn’t stop playing with it. 😄 A poor-man’s version of the real deal if you will 😅 In this case, the ipad just mirrors the website and the pen replaces the mouse, which feels even a bit closer to holding the pickup mic of the real thing. By using #blackhole loopback audio driver i was able to add reverb to it and record everything in Ableton."

Lofi Ambient w/ Double Looper and Sequenced DC Motor drone sound : Silent fall 2025-09-12 by atnr
video upload by atnr
"A piece created with @KOMAelektronik Field Kit, @SequentialLLC Prophet-10, and tape loops. Lo-fi ambient where the drone sound of a motor’s vibration—picked up with a guitar pickup—forms the foundation, while piano recordings on tape intertwine through two loopers.
A DC motor is connected to the Field Kit, with its rotation speed controlled via CV from the @KORG_INC SQ-1 to create pitch. The motor’s vibration is picked up with a guitar pickup and used as a drone sound, processed with reverb through @ChaseBlissAudio MOOD MKII.
The Prophet-10 is processed through LOSSY for a slightly lo-fi texture, with added reverb.
The @WeAreRewind1 tape player contains an endless cassette with a three-minute piano performance recorded on it. While playing it back, loops are created and performed simultaneously using two loopers: the AKAI U400 and MICROCOSM."

The Inner Sounds of Tape and iPhone w/ Field Kit, OP-1 field, PO-32 :Check up 2025-09-02 by atnr
video upload by atnr
"A piece created with @teenageengineering OP-1 field, PO-32, and @KOMAelektronik Field Kit. Ambient electronica where drones and noise from a cassette player and iPhone overlap with lo-fi synth loops.
The iPhone and tape player are not connected to anything; instead, an electromagnetic pickup captures internal noise from both devices. The tape player emits drone sounds, while the iPhone produces glitch noise.
On the OP-1 field, synth pad loops are performed and layered with additional recorded takes.
The PO-32 plays rhythm patterns, processed through @ChaseBlissAudio MOOD MK II with delay and pitch-shift effects."

Koma Elektronik Chromaplane and Strymon NightskyO
video upload by Luca Longobardi
"I keep to this routine every day without variation. The repetition itself becomes the important thing; it's a form of mesmerism. I mesmerize myself to reach a deeper state of mind.

Ambient with norns shield, wavestick, Field Kit : Partial ground 2025-08-18 by atnr
video upload by atnr
"A piece created with norns shield, wavestick, Field Kit, and monotron DELAY. Ambient music built from shifting drones and sequences, with occasional bursts of radio noise.
The Field Kit’s LFO is used as the clock source to drive the SQ-1, whose CV output controls the pitch of the wavestick.
The Field Kit’s AUX is connected to the monotron DELAY, used here as an effects processor, mixing together the built-in radio sounds with the wavestick.
On the norns shield, the sines script is run to generate drone sounds, with reverb added via MOOD MK II on the output."

video upload by atnr
"@teenageengineering OP-1 field, @homebakeinstruments8214 wavestick, @KOMAelektronik Field Kit, and @KORG_INC SQ-1 A piece where gentle harmonies meet a melody that fades in and out, layered with fragments of radio static.
On the Field Kit, the AUX send is routed out to the NTS-3 and returned to INPUT 1.
The wavestick is sequenced by the SQ-1 and processed through the @ChaseBlissAudio MOOD MK II.

Ambient with TAPES & SYNTHS | Artificial environment 2025-08-07 by atnr
video upload by atnr
"Moog One, Nord Lead & Two Cassette Players
A free-tempo soundscape where slow-moving synth pads flow beneath taped piano phrases, birdsong and processed radio hiss.
@MoogSynthesizers Moog One – plays the pad harmonies.
@NordKeyboards Nord Lead – performs improvised phrases, drenched in delay from a Specular Tempus.
Cassettes – two portable decks replay field-recorded ambience and a one-minute piano loop.
@KOMAelektronik Field Kit – acts as the mixer, taking the cassette signals plus its own AM/FM radio. The AUX send feeds a @KORG_INC monotron DELAY for extra filtered echoes."

Koma Elektronik Chromaplane with Oto Machines BIM
video upload by Nightlife Electronics
https://nightlife-electronics.com/
"The Koma Chromaplane has just landed in the shop and we just had to take it for spin!
Chromaplane has 10 independently tuneable analog oscillators that pass through a resonant low pass filter and a lo-fi PT2399 based digital delay.
The unique thing with the Chromaplane is in how you control and shape the dynamic output of the oscillators. Using two electromagnetic pick up coils positioned over the top of the instrument you can explore the blurred lines in the ether floating above and around the machine. From subtle and quiet drones to resonant and dynamic melodies.
Paired in this video we have the Oto Machines Bim to give some spatial ping pong effects. A super fun set up!"

KOMA Elektronik Sensei Eurorack Sensor Module
video uploads by KOMA Elektronik
The Sensei Eurorack Sensor Module complements the Koma Elektronik Field Kit Sensor Pack from six years ago:
Making Music With Sensors | Koma Elektronik Field Kit Sensor Pack
video upload by HAINBACH
"I was doubtful whether sensors would be fun tools to create music with - beta-testing the Koma Elektronik Field Kit sensors taught me otherwise. They are ideal creative tools in that they make you think differently and far out of the box. Perfect for breaking writer's block or pure musical enjoyment."

Press release for the new Sensei module follows:
"Berlin-based synth makers KOMA Elektronik introduce Sensei, a new Eurorack module designed to connect your modular system with the world around you. Whether it's light, movement, heat, or touch, Sensei lets you patch your environment.
"Originally based on the Sensor Interface from the KOMA Field Kit, Sensei is a standalone Eurorack module built for artists, experimental musicians, and installation creators who want to go „beyond the knob“.
Two sensor inputs (one for continuous signals, one for triggers and switches) allow for expressive, non-traditional control over CV and gate signals.
From subtle environmental fluctuations like heat or wind to pulsing club energy fired by strobe lights, Sensei makes your surroundings part of the music.
Users can choose from KOMA's established lineup of Field Kit Sensors currently available:
- Light
- Temperature
- Sound
- Touch
- Movement (Accelerometer)
- A Micro Sequencer with three modes
- Softpotentiometer
- Ball Switch
- Button / Jack Input
or plug in their own Arduino / DIY sensors with standard three-pin connectors.
And even without sensors, Sensei offers creative functionality: it doubles as a re-triggerable saw/triangle envelope, voltage processor with gain and offset, or a simple CV source.
Key features:
2 sensor channels: one continuous, one switch/gate style
Built-in analog processing (offset & gain)
Re-triggerable envelope mode (saw & inverse saw, gate & inverse gate)
Works with KOMA and standard 3-pin sensors
Perfect for installations, generative patches & sound experiments
With Sensei, modular becomes tactile, responsive, and alive. Your modular just grew a few more senses!
KOMA is currently running an introductory sale on their Sensors that you should grab if you are interested!
Product page and more info:
https://koma-elektronik.com/new/product/sensei
MSRP: €169,-
Available now through KOMA Elektronik and selected dealers."

FM Radius by Koma Elektronik
quick demo/review video upload by Meska (Meska)
"Quick demo/review of the FM Radius by koma elektronik
RTFM: https://koma-elektronik.com/new/wp-co..."
"The FM RADIUS is a CV-tunable radio receiver capable of receiving radio broadcasts on the FM bands. It provides the user the ability to catch radio transmissions for further manipulation.
The CV Radio is capable of catching the strongest broadcasts without any external antennas but for better reception, an external antenna should be used.
Use it as a crazy oscillator, infinite sample generator or just listen to the news during your office break."
