Lux 🔆 (Erica Synths LXR-02 + Oto Boum Compressor // Ableton Move 1.5 // Arturia Keystep Pro)
video upload by 2-Minute Warning
"2 minutes, no warning! 🥳
In this video, I really wanted to make use of the 1.5 new features of the Ableton Move like sequencing the different tracks of the Move from another sequencer (Keystep Pro here) and its new Auto Filter effect 🤩 (I was really waiting for these 2 updates!).
So the track starts with DRUMS played and sequenced by the LXR-02, through the Oto Machines Boum stereo analog compressor.
I then introduce the Move by opening the new Auto Filter effect.
The Move is playing some secondary percussions (Track 1), the BASS (Track 2, sequenced by Track 2 of the Keystep Pro), the ARP (Track 3 of the Move, sequenced by Track 3 of the Keystep Pro) and the CHORDS (Track 4 of the Move, sequenced by Track 4 of the Keystep Pro).
So with this setup, I was able to transpose in real-time the instruments played by the Move 😃

Sediments - An hymn about what it falls by itself (Digitone 2 + Peak + 0-coast + Boum)
video upload by Music4screens
"After few weeks working on how to keep the inspiration alive, I've recovered some pieces I know they work with me and here is the result of just about 2 hours of setup, sound design and playing.
Sediment is the name of a great Digitone 2 patch from @substan_music which inspired me to make this conjunction of sounds and melodies that fall by themselves in a natural and not expected way.
Novation Peak and MakeNoise 0-coast make the rest of interesting bells and bloops, processed by OTO Boum as 0-coast filter, all recorded in Ableton through Digitone 2 class compliant mode and its built in FX.
Peak is an incredible machine, very flexible and fully capable and 0-coast a board to experiment with.
Hope you enjoyed listening to like me making it."

Kursa - Arpoloop X Oto Boum X Elektron Syntakt Jam
video upload by KURSA.
"January 20th 2025
The arpoloop is a mysterious and somewhat bewildering beast that I am in no means an expert in operating yet. That being said, I find it's incredibly effective at creating slow building hypnotic compositions."

DFAM, BIA, UltraPerc, Modbase09, Sample Drum, zZzOrb, BIM, Octatrack, Analog Heat - #ModularTechno
video upload by x0d
"I resurrected an old modular percussion synth configuration and paired it with the DFAM for some fun.
The DFAM is running thru the OTO BIM for a bit of delay, and everything is mixed using the Octatrack, and then thru the Analog Heat MKII.
A simple, but effective setup.
------
Patch/Routing Notes:
I have the modbase09 running thru the HN TriTone for some EQ'ing, and out individually to the OT.
All the other modules are mixed in the case using the Erica Drum Mixer, and then filtered thru zZzOrb, before going out to another thru channel on the OT.
The DFAM/BIM are also on a separate thru track on the OT."

Best Ambient Synth Shootout #137: SammichFM - Song 2
video upload by Christian's Sonic Spaces
"This is the second recording with the SammichFM. It is a streamlined, compact version of the MIDIbox FM synthesizer DIY kit. Designed around the OPL3 chip YMF262 (4-Operators with 4 different waves), which was a famous sound chip from the 8 bit computer era (e.g. Sound Blaster 16 soundcard), it can play 4-sounds with 6-voice polyphony each.
I used for the recording the following FX pedals:
Line 6 DL4 MkII, GFI System Specular Reverb 2, OTO Boum.
The signal went through a Presonus StudioLive 16.0.2 into the PC via USB for recording. To create the complete song I recorded consecutively several stereo tracks. On some tracks Compressor and EQ where added in Cubase 13. The final song was then mastered using iZotope Ozone.
Well, I decided to go back to the basics, but at the same time make something useful for the synth community and do a kind of competition (I like competitions;-). What's my best synth for ambient music :-)"
