Lofi Crunch with the Three Stems & Generation Loss (Model:Cycles)

video upload by Duskmos

"For this Signal Colors: Layers video, the ‪@herbs.stones‬ Three Stems feeds some massive crunch into the lo-fi character of the ‪@ChaseBlissAudio‬ Generation Loss MKII. These two pair up to bring some serious crispy lofi vibes to the ‪@WeAreElektron‬ Model:Cycles."

E-MU Systems - Proformance 1
Herbs and Stones - 3 Stems
Walrus Audio - Qi Etherealizer

I’ve been drawn to vintage gear lately and searching for something to add to the lofi set up. Signal Sounds now have a Pre-owned section and I saw this E-MU piano rack mount synth. I’ve wanted a way of getting a hardware lofi piano vibe and this little E-MU box worked out perfectly.

From 1990, it’s in perfect condition with a mint condition manual. Very basic set up with minimal settings and 15 presets.

This was an experiment to see how to combine the lofi saturation of the 3 Stems with granular delay and reverb of the Etherealizer.

I’m controlling the E-MU with a basic Keystep 32."

SOLAR 42N x HAPAX - Space Industrial Performance (w/ Breakdown) #berlinschool

video upload by Catenation aka Dissonant Witchcraft

"In this jam, the Squarp Hapax drives the Solar 42N into drones, rhythms, and cosmic textures. At the end of the video, you’ll find a breakdown of how the jam was made — including the sequencing approach on the Hapax, how the Solar 42N was patched, and the role of the Soft Memo.

If you enjoy experimental hardware jams, industrial electronics, and deep analog textures, this one is for you."

https://herbs---stones.com/soft-memo/"

Soft Memo is a hybrid stereo multi effects desktop unit with eight digital CV controlled FX programs, two analogue feedback paths and two complex voltage-controlled LFOs.

It has patch points to integrate external synthesisers and sequencers and it is designed to creatively reshape your sounds with a menu-free hands-on approach.

You can create patches by connecting inputs and outputs with eurorack-standard 1/8" jacks.

All its inputs are protected from potentially dangerous voltages.

It generates (and reacts to) control voltages in the 0-5V range: when a CV signal is patched into an input, its knob becomes an attenuator for the incoming signal.

The patch points are visually divided between inputs and outputs: the inputs are placed in the middle of a white circle while the outputs are not.

Soft Memo is powered by a 9V center-negative (500 mA) power supply, the standard PSU used with most guitar pedals.

Features:

Eight FX programs

A total of 25 patch points

Two high gain preamps

Two feedback paths made of analog VCAs and resonant analog VCFs

Two complex voltage controlled LFOs with clock division and phase offset control

An envelope follower

A→B buttons to set how the two channels controls interact with each other"

Herbs and Stones Seeds - mini noise synth

video upload by Herbs and Stones

"Seeds is a DIY noise synth that will be available to build at various workshops."

https://herbs---stones.com/seeds-work...

Seeds is a portable, battery-powered noise synth.

Its operation is based on the improper use of primitive CMOS digital technology: by forcing a linear output from an integrated circuit that operates using Boolean logic, by draining it of current and pushing its inputs to their limits, organic, unpredictable, and never-replicable sounds are achieved.

Seeds is an instrument with a vast array of sounds, designed for research and experimentation.

Technical Specifications:

Power: 4 AA batteries (included in the kit)
Output: Stereo TRS minijack
