I mean, the dynamic vibes of this so far is just 🤯. I haven’t even used any of the 6 drone voices, sequencer, LFO’s, light controllers, built in preamp, joystick and the rest! Hypnotic Ambient Jam with Solar 42F | 59 Perlen

"Hi guys ,

at the moment my jams are focused on learning the Solar 42F, what else :D it's still a big challenge to make music spontaneously with the instrument. The preparations still take far too long for me - it can easily take half an hour to tune all the synths. Since my goal is to play a live show with the instrument, I've put the focus on that and I don't yet know how I'm supposed to manage 1 complete hour without a break for the night tuning. Maybe one of you has the Solar and can give me tips on how to configure it for a live performance longer than 15 minutes. Either way, have fun with the jam :D"

"Hello my friends,

I posted some images of my new acquisition last week. “Kind” is the first jam I recorded on my new synthesizer, the Solar 42F from Elta Music. I named the track “Kind” because this instrument has many buttons, switches and lights that let the child in me play and go on a journey of discovery.

Of course I use an Arabic scale in this first jam :D If you know my music, you also know my preference for Middle East flavours. After my first attempts, I was glad that I got the 24 oscillators more or less in tune with each other - I think that was my biggest difficulty and first challenge to master before I can dive into the endless modular possibilities this engine offers.

"The Solar 42F's sequencer is set to 4 steps, triggering VCO B while LFO A triggers the envelope of VCO A. The Drone Voices are manually triggered to play the bass line while the output of VCO A and B are sent out to The Godfather for additional filtering, delay, and reverb. The output of The Godfather is then fed back into the Solar 42F's External Audio input. The master output of the Solar 42F is finally sent to the Infinity FX cartridge. Recorded in real-time with no external effects/processing (other than The Godfather on VCO A and B). Enjoy!"

"Demo of a drone jam I put together on the Solar 42F. Nothing serious, but illustrates that while billed as an Ambient machine, can definitely venture into seriously dark territory. Hands down my favorite synth of 2024 and quite possibly the evil doppleganger of the Buchla Music Easel. No external effects used. Internal Infinity FX card on the Solar 42F the only effects featured. This drone uses the Hold function of several of the Solar 42F's Voices, the Arpeggiator on Voice 4, and manual control of Voice 6, as well as using LFO A to create additional modulation of the voice. Enjoy!"

Solar 42F Jam with Hydrasynth and Waldorf Iridium via External Input

"This is not an amazing ambient music jam I'm afraid, this is just some guy, playing his Solar 42 for fun. I ran my Waldorf Iridium into the Solar via the External Input jack to try it out. The Waldorf was playing an arp sequence with the latch set so it was repeating. Then I played the Solar 42F with the external input coming through and I later overdubbed some Hydra-synth for a bit of variety. I'm not modular patch pro, very much still learning my way by experimentation."
