"Serial Number 45595.KS has just returned from a full service/overhaul and calibration by our favourite EMS specialist and sounding great.
It's had a full overhaul and been thoroughly tested for reliable operation. A rare chance to buy an excellent fully serviced and functioning example of this iconic synth. See photo of service invoice for more detail on work completed. Comes complete with brand new mains and umbilical cables.
This synth has lived a life - from the outside it appears to be quite scruffy, but open up the Spartanite case and internally it's surprisingly clean. It was originally owned by Hackney Downs School and was security marked to deter light-fingered pupils (why did my school not have a Synthi?).
The face and outer case have the school name engraved/branded: the former to the left of the meter, the latter near the handle. Externally the case is quite rough with marks/scuffs to the black plastic and rust to the chromed catches and handle, but it still has the original name plate and is complete. Internally, aside from the engraving, it's very clean."

"The ARP Odyssey was an analog synthesizer originally produced in 1972 by the American manufacturer ARP Instruments, Inc. that quickly garnered a faithful following among musicians. Well respected for its high value, ease to play and portability, the ARP Odyssey had undergone several improvements during its history and continued to be a long-seller until manufacturing stopped in 1981 due to economic hardships and the digital surge. Loved by a wide range of musicians as a historical classic, its sound can be heard on numerous classic songs.
Now, KORG has brought back the ARP Odyssey for today. With the advisory assistance of David Friend, the co-founder of ARP Instruments, KORG has completely reproduced the original circuitry for artists looking to recreate classic sounds and explore new ones. "Fully functional Korg Delta, fun and easy to use synth that nails many classic sounds. Tested in great working condition with just some cosmetic issues due to age!
Korg's Delta is an analog semi-poly synth/string machine, basically a slimmed down version of the Korg. Though limited in the range of sounds compared with other synths of the same genre, the sheer quality of the sound from this little beastie really does make it something of a marvel. Amazing retro synth strings and fat bass synth tones.
The synth is split into two sections, Strings and Synth, for which there are separate audio outputs along with a combined output for headphones or mixing. Each section has its own controls. The String section has two pitch sliders (16' and 8') along with two tone controls (Bass and Treble) and variable Attack and Release controls to modify the sound. The Synth section has four pitch sliders (16', 8', 4' and 2'). There is also a white noise generator along with a very effective 24dB/oct low pass filter (high pass and band pass options are included too) and full ADSR controls. The synth has no memory storage or MIDI, however it does has voltage control and gate ins and outs.
The string sounds are very basic but with its separate outputs and when mixed together with the polysynth you do get that classic 'layered' sound which is useful enough on this synth; and it's fully polyphonic, so you wont be running out of notes! There is a handy joystick to the left of the 49-note keyboard for pitch bending and modulation capabilities. The construction is solid and heavy partly due to the implementation of a wooden base but also because it was designed for heavy usage on the road. Added bonuses: noise modulation, stereo out (strings/synth split), and the ability to combine synth and strings or turn off oscillators in the mixer section."
