inMusic Brings 22 New Products and a Hands-on Creator Lab to NAMM 2027

inMusic's NAMM 2027 experience invites creators, developers and music makers to explore fully operational products, experience live performances, and discover new possibilities for hardware customization

ANAHEIM, Calif. - November 5, 2026 - Today, inMusic Brands has announced it will bring one of its most ambitious showcases yet to the 2027 NAMM Show, presenting 22 new, fully operational and feature-complete products alongside performances, artist appearances, panels and a new hands-on experience: The inMusic Creator Lab.

THE INMUSIC CREATOR LAB
Located in Room 204 at the Anaheim Convention Center, the Creator Lab introduces another dimension to inMusic's NAMM presence. Visiting creators and developers will have the opportunity to engage directly with new products and explore what can happen when finished instruments are opened to further creativity.

"These products don't need to be modified. They're complete instruments designed to stand on their own. But for creators who want to take them somewhere new, we want to make that possible. Openness doesn't require incompleteness," said Jack O'Donnell, CEO of inMusic Brands.

"11/5/26 Pasco Scientific 9301 + Rucci 16-step CV Sequencer + Heathkit ID-4101 + Yamaha EM-100 + Alesis MIDIVERB II

The sun was setting and this was the last take, so you can barely see anything, but the Rucci 16-step CV sequencer is driving and modulating the two Pasco Scientific 9301 dual function generators, as well as the Heathkit ID-4101. The Heathkit is panned left, the left 9301 is panned right, and the right 9301 is panned center. There is some spring reverb from the Yamaha EM-100 mixer and some delay from the Alesis MIDIVERB II."

A6Plus is a free, unofficial update to the Andromeda A6’s final OS (1.40.13). It fixes long-standing annoyances and adds new features while keeping your existing patches sounding exactly the same.

What’s new:

Knob jitter fix: no more flickering values or jumping parameters.
Poly aftertouch from MIDI controllers now works.
Whole-number BPM for the clock, arpeggiator and sequencer.

"This is the first demo of my new soundpack 'DARKSIDE" with 50 (!!!) new patches I have designed for Isla Electronics´ 'Asyx' Andromeda and for the original Alesis Andromeda A6.

No external effects were used in the demos. All effects are internal effects of the Asyx. No other hardware was used. No compressor, no limiter, no equalizer, nothing, but the pure Asyx.

All in all there are 50 (!!!) new patches in the package with all sounds of relaxation, grainy drones, organic textures and deep pads.I designed all the sounds myself.

Today I am auditioning some of the presets I made with the ASYX virtual instrument plugin from Isla Instruments. ASYX is an emulation of the Andromeda A6 synthesizer. All of my previously released patches made for the Andromeda have been ported over to ASYX, and are included in ASYX with my expressed permission. This video exhibits previously unreleased new patches made on the ASYX during beta testing. It's been a dream to once again lose myself programming sounds - often times forgetting that it is a virtual instrument. As usual audio is recorded direct, no post FX except normalization, listen w/ quality monitors or headphones recommended, watch your levels - some sections have harsh noise and high-frequency content. In full disclosure no money has been paid to me for promotion, product placement nor sponsorship to this video content."

A New 2026 Alesis Andromeda Firmware Update

"Hello everyone! This is quite an unusual post, but I'd just like to share that I've been working on a brand new firmware update for the Andromeda. Built off of the 2002 firmware, It fixes many bugs like jumpy potentiometers, makes envelopes snappier and smoother, lowers oscillator levels so they don't clip excessively when pushed to 100%, and so far adds brand new features like a 'vintage' knob (akin to a modern Prophet), and a Matrix-12 styled true stereo voice spread knob, all under a new "A6Plus" page of the Global tab.

Here's a video showing off the vintage knob and the stereo spread, no internal/external FX: I'm still continuing to work on this, adding new features, and address the DSP engine to make effects less clipped and harsh. But if there are any bugs, features that people think should be addressed let me know.

I'm hesitant to release it as this is very much a 'load at your own risk' as like any experimental firmware it could brick hardware, especially since this was written with Claude, which bruteforced, decoded and reversed engineered the original firmware to build new updates, but it runs just fine on my Andromeda. The firmware does not touch the Bootloader at all which acts as a backup failsafe. This is still very early in development, but I just wanted to share this project to let folks know the future is bright for this amazing synth! :)"

Alesis Microverb 1 & 2 MVB - switchable operating system mod

"Alesis Microverb I with a switchable operating system to turn it into either a Microverb I or a Microverb II. Both operating systems are now on one EPROM with a switch to swap between them live, without crashing. The only difference between the OS files appears to be in the 16 preset parameters.

In terms of the hardware the two units are absolutely identical other than some minor resistor differences that restrict the bandwidth very slightly on the Microverb I. The Microverb I also runs slightly slower with a 6mHz ceramic resonator for the system clock, while the Microverb II runs at 8mHz.

This Microverb I in the video has had the 6mHz clock changed to 8mHz, and the necessary resistors changed to those of the Microverb II. It is now effectively a Microverb II that can also run the Microverb I presets, rather than the other way around.

Maybe you loose a little of the Microverb I's muffled 'character' when you replace the resistors, and the effects run slightly faster at 8mHz so reverbs are a little shorter, but the difference is very small, and if you were reclocking the thing anyway then the clock difference is irrelevant.

We will have some no solder kits for the OS switching upgrade sometime soon. It will work on either unit to add the preset reverbs of the other unit."

No external FX used although most of these would benefit from added FX from better sources than the internal FX which are a bit dated by todays standards. (Think 80's - 90's quality digital FX).
