10/29/25 ARP 1613 + Metasonix R-54 53 52 51 56 + Zerosum ZI61 & VCA + MFB ADSR + OAM + MIDIVERB (…)
video upload by Cfpp0
"10/29/25 ARP 1613 + Metasonix R-54 & 56 & 53 & 52 & 51 + Zerosum Inertia ZI61 & Voltage Controlled Annihilation + MFB ADSR + OAM Time Machine + Alesis MIDIVERB 2
The ARP 1613 sequencer output A controls the Metasonix R-52 sweep CV in, which creates the high resonant rasp on the reversed quarter notes. The R-52 runs into the R-53, which adds the pitch to the R-52 rasp, then through the R-51, controlled by the MFB dual ADSR, gated by the ARP 1613 gate bus 3. This signal goes through the R-56 for more distortion and spring reverb—panned center on the Mackie Onyx 1640, with stereo room reverb from the Alesis MIDIVERB II. Meanwhile, the more mechanical-sounding squawk/chirp/scream loop is the ARP 1613 quantized output B controlling the pitch of the R-54, which runs through the Zerosum Inertia Voltage Controlled Annihilation, which runs through the Zerosum ZI61, high is controlled by the MFB dual ADSR, gated by the ARP 1613 gate bus 3. The ZI61 is panned left on the Mackie, but it also feeds the OAM Time Machine delay, which is panned center on the Mackie.

6/24-27/25 .com Q173 Gate Math + Metasonix D-2000 + ZI 6550-99 + TR-606 + (more in description)
video upload by Cfpp0
"6/24-27/25 Synthesizers.com Q173 Gate Math + Metasonix D-2000 + Zerosum Inertia 6550-99 + Roland TR-606 + STG muSonics Vanilla Envelope + MFB dual ADSR + Intellijel LPG + Birdkids Unicorn Boom + Peavey 1300 + CorSynth C102 VC LFO + Synthetic Sound Labs 1660 + Alesis MIDIVERB II + Ace Tone MP-4 + Oakley Modular ADSR/VCA + MXR 136 dual limiter
Sort of reminds me of 'Goodbye Horses' by Q Lazzarus. The Synthesizers.com Q173 Gate Math has been very underutilized, so it’s been moved, and this was the first time I used it on the Metasonix D-2000. ALM Pamela’s New Workout is driving the Q173, which is triggering the D-2000. The D-2000 mix output runs through the Intellijel Passive LPG, which is controlled by the MFB dual ADSR, which is driven by Pamela’s. A copy of the Intellijel LPG runs through the Peavey 1300 delay, panned left, with gates reverb from the Alesis MIDIVERB II. The bass drum is from the Birdkids Unicorn Boom, triggered by Pamela’s, and limited by the MXR 136. The high pitched 16th note claves that sound like crickets are from the DSP 808, modulated by the MFB dual ADSR. The snare is from the Roland TR-606, processed by the Ace Tone MP-4 spring reverb. The hi hat is also from the TR-606, processed by a reversed reverb from the MIDIVERB II. The synth line is the Synthetic Sound Labs 1660 audio out through two Zerosum Inertia 6550-99 oscillators through the STG muSonics Vanilla Envelope and the Oakley ADSR/VCA, with additional modulation from the CorSynth C102 VC LFO."

"Fully functional original Fricke Rhythmusmaschine MFB-501. Reissued a few years back, and it might be my imagination, but I'd say – with all due respect to the MFB-501 'Pro,' it was very cool of MFB to do that, esp. considering the original price it went for – this, to these ears, sounds considerably better; deeper, and, though this is not a real thing, I know, but I'll go ahead and say it anyway: more analog. I take it back, that sounds awful and stupid. It sounds really good and it is fully analog (but so is the Pro, which adds the MFB Kult's samples and MIDI, which this one all lacks (it has trigger input though, which is cool), and but so be aware of that).

At the time, the 501 outsold Roland's TR 808 by far in Germany, and over a 5000 units were sold. This from one guy in Berlin, hey, follow that. Nowadays they're nevertheless quite rare, as far as I know. Well, I'd keep it if I could afford it.
For its age it looks pretty great (see pics), all the switches working like charms, sounds kind of amazing. Someone wrote the voltage and polarity on top; this can be cleaned but I thought it looked cool. It comes with a Euro PSU that adapts to that info, BTW."

MFB Dominion 1 & Vermona DSR 3 Dual Spring Reverb (no talking)
video upload by DreamsOfWires
"Some example sounds using the Dominion 1 with the DSR-3 for reverb. Support my music at https://tomorrowthecure.bandcamp.com.
MFB Dominion 1: Created by the late Manfred Fricke, this 3-oscillator monophonic synth was discontinued a few years ago. It has a huge feature set - multimode filter, 3 LFO's, 3 envelopes, preset memory, patch points for Eurorack modular etc, a ring mod, arpeggiator, sequencer... it's a beastie. I'm currently selling mine, and other gear, as I need to raise money to help fund a short live performance at Superbooth25 this year.
@vermonagear DSR-3: This beautiful stereo, real spring reverb is still currently available. It has the richness and character of an analogue spring reverb, but with enought clarity to make it a viable global reverb on an effects send/aux, especially when used in stereo. It can also be used as two independent mono reverbs, or chained together to make a more cavernous spring reverb. I'll be using this on an some upcoming Bandcamp release, and more videos here, and on the @AJHSynthOfficial channel."

3/16/25 (dry doom) Metasonix RK10 & RK7 & RK2 & RK5 + MFB Dual LFO & Dual ADSR
video upload by Cfpp0
"Some awful dry doom to test the Metasonix RK10 power in a new location, closer to the RK7, S-2000, S-1000, D-2000, and Zerosum Inertia 6550-99 modules. The RK10 is sequencing the left RK7, whose audio output is multiplied and sent to the right RK7 CV in and to the RK2 VCA. The right RK7 audio output goes to the RK5 lopass gate (left channel). The RK10 gate out is multiplied and sent to both sides of the MFB dual ADSR. The MFB dual LFO is controlling the drive input CV on the right RK7."
