♫ Jamming With a Bunch of Synths ♫ ----- (79)
video upload by
"This jam is a little weird. My phone was on low battery which made the video slightly glitchy. I was a bit distracted during this recording so it's maybe a bit more boring than usual. There is also a couple mysterious audio drop outs near the end of the video. I didn't notice these prior to uploading so it's possible something went wrong when combining the audio and video files or something.

"Delights of Kyoto" - Akai MPC + Roland SH4d + Roland OpSix + Arturia MiniFreak +
video upload by Patrick Manderson
"'Delights of Kyoto' was recorded live late Saturday afternoon on 3/2/2024 using a MIDI sequencer and a room full of synthesizers and audio gear. All automation was programmed into the Akai MPC X. Some manual tweaks on the Midas console was made during recording.
Inspired by YouTube videos of Japanese restaurants and diners - 'Kyoto' was developed using the Roland SH4d as a drum synthesizer, paired with my usual synthesized drum kit on the Korg Radias and some excellent Hydrasynth patches developed by @Jexus. Voice synthesis on the Arturia MINIFREAK and various pads, plucks, stabs and noises provided by the Sequential REV2, Roland JP-8080, Korg OpSix among others.
The most significant addition to this music is a careful degree of live mixing using the Midas Venice F24 running a stereo mix through the Warm Audio Bus Compressor.

More Live Dub Techno and Good Vibes!
video upload by Electronisounds Audio
"This jam cam about from the 'Hardware Jams' Facebook Groups weekly challenge - which this week was simply to NOT use a Roland 303 in your jam. Hahaha
I used Roland TR8s for the drums, Polyend Tracker Mini for an atmos texture + chord stabs and a percussion loop, Arturia MiniFreak for the pad sound, the AKAI MPC Live V1 for the vocal samples and the Roland SPD-SX drum pad for the melodic lead.
LOVE THE DUB!

They will let anyone have a MPC Keys 37 Day 7 Conclusion
video upload by G Tracks
The playlist above features all 7 days.
"Hey y'all, I am bringing you a brand new piece of amazing awesome-sauce part Seven!!! Day 7
These are my thoughts after using this phenomenal machine for a week, granted I have limited experience with the whole MPC system and a million things to learn. This has been an amazing week learning and growing and I truly believe that anyone can pick and use this fantastic machine. It definitely will take some dedication and a lot of learning but everything is all right there in the Key 37. I set a goal for myself to do a weeks worth of sessions and I am hooked and want to do more. As I am exploring this machine ideas are just flowing and that is a really good feeling. The easiest way to start is with a drum kit which provides you with a set of 16 drums and sounds to choose from to make a custom beat. You then can add an additional drum kit or single sounds to round out your beat. The Key 37 also offers a dedicated button to be able to go right to your keyboard sounds/ Plug ins that will get you going quick. Straight out of the box it comes pre loaded with all of this and AKAI offers additional bundles so you will never get bored or tired of the same sounds. I have not learned to chop samples yet but with STEMS coming out you'll be able to make your own custom samples. I look forward to exploring and sharing what I learn in my Sessions/Tracks to come. This is a personal journey, and whether you choose to share your music or keep it for yourself, don't let the outside noise distract you from creating -the process should be fun and should make you happy. This session I created a beat that is suiting for a conclusion to my first week with the MPC Key 37. I am so grateful to all of you that have watched me with this amazing machine and Thank You for coming along with me on this journey. Don't fret I will be back soon so Please like and subscribe to catch all the new great content to come. Have a fantastic day and Let's Make Some Music!"

Outer Limits of the Akai AX80 | Affordable Alternative to the Roland Jupiter 6?
video upload by Greg Wilder
"Is the Akai AX80 a handsome but BORING instrument? Not so fast. This gorgeous brute has mastered things other synths can't touch.
Simply put, the AX80 has a STRONG personality. But to find it, you'll have to push it to the outer limits of what the engine was built to do. To quote the great WC Olo Garb (https://www.youtube.com/@Jexus)...
'The bass feels not like fresh warm blood pumped into your veins - it feels like getting hit in the head with a large rubber baseball bat. The lead feels not like rubbing your belly with a feather - it feels like having your ribcage ripped open by an electric bread cutter.'"

Rhythm Wolf thru Moog Freqbox & Circuit Mono Station (Transversent Waves)
video upload by HardtekStudios
"Got a nice team effeort with this one. The Rhythm Wolf bass synth is being processed by the Moog Moogerfooger Freqbox. The Circuit Monostation is playing another bassline, and it's modulation sequencer is routed to the CV output which is controlling the frequency of the Freqbox. Fun little tunes before I tweak it out of control."

"We’ll Never Be The Same" - Halftime Bass Music
video upload by Electronisounds Audio
"This track came about from the 'Hardware Jams' Facebook group's weekly challenge which was:
This week we're all going to all do sets at an EMOM, usually 15 mins sets, but we only want your first 5 minutes of a set! However.....the man who was going to take you and your entire studio just called to say the van has broken down! Therefore you are only allowed to use what you can physically carry!
So I figure I could put these few items into a duffle bag and still make it! Hahaha :)
Whatever kind of music you are making - KEEP IT UP, Friends!
Don't stop making *YOUR MUSIC*!!"
