Absynth 6 by Native Instruments - No talking demo

video upload by ADL-MusicLab

"Hi, everyone!

Here's to you my 'No talking demo' of the stunning Absynth 6 by Native Instruments.

Absynth 6 marks the return of a legendary semi-modular synthesizer. Built for textures that transform and breathe, it invites you to shape sounds that are entirely your own. Deep enough for complex sound design, and intuitive enough for newcomers, it opens up distinctive, living sounds for cinematic cues, ambient soundscapes, and electronic productions.

Absynth has a long, storied history of surreal sound. The strange textures and dreamlike tones return with Absynth 6, the latest in this prestigious line of semi-modular synths.

This version keeps the heart of the hybrid engine you know. It combines subtractive, FM, wavetable, and granular synthesis into one flow that makes unusual sounds feel natural to create. A refreshed interface, a new waveform editor, and an intuitive visual browser make it easier than ever to craft otherworldly soundscapes.

The launch of Absynth 6 is the story of rebirth. It honors the strange beauty that defined the original, while bringing it into a new era with a new suite of tools and accessibility features.

Truly a sound-designer's dream, opening up endless creative possibilities!"

Ocean Swift releases Tyrian Tine - Free Unstable Chime Engine for Kontakt Player

video uploads by Ocean Swift / Faxi Nadu

"Ocean Swift announces the release of Tyrian Tine - a FREE compact, yet potent Kontakt NKS instrument for generating unique, randomized bell and chime tones. Its asymmetric dual-layer engine pairs a wavetable oscillator - with purposeful instability, morphing, and controlled randomization - with a sample oscillator curated from bells, kalimbas, music boxes, and other metallic oddities. The result ranges from crystalline fantasy tintinnabulation to gritty, bronze-like strikes and haloed sci-fi swells.

Tyrian Tine lives where chapel glass meets starship hulls. Play a note and bells bloom like constellations; strikes flare, then drift into haloed swells that hang in the air like omens. It feels less like triggering samples and more like waking a signal - intimate one moment, cathedral-wide the next, always poised on the edge of a story. Tyrian Tine doesn’t just make bells - it sketches scenes: ruined kingdoms, cold moons, quiet victories."

"Christmas Card 6" featuring NI Una Corda, Moog Messenger, OB6, Take 5, OB-X8

video upload by Tim Grogan

"I started doing these musical Christmas Cards because I was inspired to create something different from the old classic Christmas tunes. I prefer to hear/visualize a wintry scene and to try to encapsulate the wonder of what Christmas felt like when I was a kid and I think the instrumental form keeps it a bit more open to interpretation. I found it to be a really satisfying way to focus on that feeling and write and it felt good to offer an alternative. Here's Christmas Card 6, in the spirit of that."

Wind Recordings and Lo-fi Pitch-shifted Prophet-10 | Platform 2^5 2025-11-19 by atnr

video upload by atnr

"This piece combines field recordings captured in a windy park with sounds from the ‪@SequentialLLC‬ Prophet-10, processed through ‪@ChaseBlissAudio‬ MOOD MKII, LOST+FOUND, and ‪@strymon‬ blueSky.

The Prophet-10 is connected to all three effects units.
During the performance, synth pads are played while the filter is opened and closed to create movement. The MOOD MKII adds delay, and its CLOCK control is adjusted to introduce pitch shifting.
The LOST+FOUND provides additional lo-fi character using the GEN-LITE effect, and further pitch shifting is applied with ORCHESTRAL SWELL.
Finally, the blueSky is used to add reverb.

Additional layers from the MOTIF-RACK ES and Massive X are arranged within the DAW to complete the atmosphere."

Native Instruments Launches Maschine 3.4

Press release follows (demo video here):

Berlin, October 29, 2025 – Native Instruments has released Maschine 3.4, continuing on a string of updates to its hybrid production and performance platform.

Maschine has always been about keeping ideas flowing, and Maschine 3.4 does just that by introducing a redesigned modulation editor with huge improvements for the desktop, additional Play Series instruments and effects for Maschine+ standalone, and a set of workflow upgrades that make creating music smoother, faster, and more fluid than ever.

Maschine 3.4 adds long-requested tools like curves, marquee select, and pencil drawing to a modernized modulation editor, matching DAW standards while preserving its fast, intuitive workflow. With Play Series on Maschine+ and refined arranging tools, it’s a hearty update that further improves the Maschine platform.

Key Features

· Modernized modulation editor — Producers can now draw curves with the pencil tool and edit multiple points at once, unlocking expressive control and DAW-level precision inside Maschine.

· Workflow refinements (desktop) — Grid snapping, drag-to-edit, updated colors, keyboard shortcuts, and a refreshed UI design streamline production on the laptop or desktop.

· More compatibility on Maschine+ — Run newly compatible effects and Play Series instruments natively on Maschine+ with bounce-in-place for CPU management. No computer required.

· Newly compatible: 24K Keys & Drums, Discoteca Keys & Drums, Empire Breaks, Duets, Feel it, Kontakt Factory Selection 2, and effects like Replika, Driver, Tape Wobble, and more.

A Note for Maschine+ users

The Play Series compatibility on Maschine+ is an unlock for existing owners. A license is needed for Play Series instruments or effects to become available for use on Maschine+ devices. For optimal performance when using sample-based instruments like the Play Series, a high-speed SD card is recommended.

Introducing Odes by Native Instruments

video uploads by Native Instruments

"Score dynamic, shifting soundscapes that bring scenes to life with Odes. The third chapter in the tale, building on the legacy of Lores and Fables, Odes propels the plot with a unique library with rhythm at its heart."

Narrative through rhythm

Compose living soundscapes with an eclectic ensemble driven by rhythm

Bridge musical traditions and harmonize instruments from around the world, like the shakuhachi and nyckelharpa, with smart tonal sculpting tools

Weave intricate tales by layering three instruments with up to three articulations apiece

Drive your stories forward

Score dynamic, shifting soundscapes that bring scenes to life with Odes. The third chapter in the tale, building on the legacy of Lores and Fables, Odes propels the plot with a unique library focused on rhythm. String and woodwind-based tempo-synced loops spring from the surface, filling the shimmering oasis. Kamanchehs skate across the sands. Alto flutes float by overhead. All brought in frame with smart tonal sculpting tools.

Write with rhythm

Tell stories that move with sounds that stretch across continents and centuries. The jig of the nyckelharpa, the breeze of the shakuhachi, the saunter of the tenor saxophone. All these and more are yours to compose. Shape evolving, expressive textures with virtuosic articulations, and fine-tune the feeling of every scene with smart tonal sculpting tools.

Knit nuanced threads

Layer up to three articulations per instrument. A distant legato dancing through the mirage. A tense marcato rising from the dunes. This is music in motion. For composers who don’t just support the story, but drive it forward. Bring the tapestry together with Odes’ clean interface, building on Lores and Fables with added rhythmic controls.

Immerse your audience

Guide the emotion of the moment with built-in mic mixing. Reflect real spaces with convolution reverb. Build atmosphere with screen-ready sounds, meticulously recorded with the expression only maestros can provide. Odes continues the narrative drive of the series while infusing fresh rhythm and movement.
