10/1/24 (manual freq) Pasco Scientific 9301 & WA-9307A + Yamaha EM-100 + Peavey 1300 + CXM 1978
video upload by Cfpp0
"The limitation of these not-synthesizer-synthesizers is part of the appeal. Here I’m practicing using the frequency knob of one of the Pasco Scientific 9301 dual function generators to create a melody, then adding four droning frequencies from the WA-9307A Fourier synthesizer and, eventually, a droning second 9301. It’s all mixed within the Yamaha EM-100, which has an internal Accutronics tank. The four frequencies from the WA-9307A are panned pretty wide left and right, but in this video we hear only the left output channel on the EM-100, which runs through the Peavey 1300 delay and is panned center on the Mackie Onyx 1640, where it gets another delayed reverb from the CXM 1978, which is set slightly fast to create a limp or shuffle to the stacked quarter notes. The 9301 sounds already have a lot of odd phasing, which is increased by the spring reverb, but the old Peavey 1300 delay stacks the notes (and the spring reverb) and furthers the phasing, while also adding pitch anomalies similar to wow and flutter on tape."

4/15/24 Viscount R-64s PCM + Peavey 1300 + DBX 900 (3x 905/903) + Lexicon PCM 70 (small room)
video upload by Cfpp0
"In boca al lupo, ragazza. Ciao! A final test of the recently serviced, perfectly working, very rare, and wonderfully Italian Viscount R-64s PCM 8-bit drum machine before packing it up and sending it off to its new owner. Mix out goes mono to a Mackie submixer to the DBX 900, going through one 905/903 into the next 905/903, with an aux send from the Mackie out to the Peavey 1300 delay going to a third 905/903 set. Those two signals then go to two channels on the Mackie Onyx 1640 mixer, with Lexicon PCM 70 small room reverb on an aux."

1/4/24 Technosaurus Cyclodon sequences Microcon + Peavey DDL-3 + CXM 1978 (paper pill bun, softer)
video upload by Cfpp0
"Changed a couple notes on the Technosaurus Cyclodon, but this is more or less the sequence as in the 1/3/24 video, just slower, with a different delay on the Peavey DDL-3, and a smoother, less grainy reverb on the Chase Bliss CXM 1978."

11/23/23 Roland (& RYK & Lana) System 100m + Peavey DDL-3 (x2) + Chase Bliss CXM 1978
video upload by Cfpp0
"This is a study for something.
S&H out to the passive control voltage routing panel as a mute. Forgot to utilize the panning on the 131 mixer to bleed signals to the two DDL-3 delays."

11/15/23 Roland Jupiter 6 + Peavey DDL-3 + Chase Bliss CXM 1978 (arpeggio ranges)
video upload by Cfpp0
"Ding ding dong, dong dong ding, dingy dingy ding. Four ranges of an arpeggio, with delay from the Peavey DDL-3 and a wash of pre-delay reverb from the CXM 1978. The CXM returns to two faders on the Mackie Onyx 1604, and they are ridden. Also the settings on the CXM 1978 are gradually changed a few times."

via this auction
This appears to be the first auction post to feature the Peavey Spectrum Synth. There is also a Peavey Spectrum Bass Synth, and Peavey Spectrum Filter. You can find a demo of the SPECTRUM SYNTH here.
"This Peavey works and sounds great but sometimes it freezes. After a quick reset it works great again. Im thinking it might be the 3v battery but Im not sure. Its full of a lot of terrific presets. This synth is deep and Stereoping makes a controller for editing."

Quick Look | Inside the Peavey Spectrum Synth: 'Contact Without Static' Repair
Thoughtful Clips
"My latest web-find is a used Spectrum Synth with sound quality issues. Some diamonds in the rough need only a bit of attention to become star performers again.
Like many American-made synths of the 90’s this box is full of audible potential & easy to figure out.

Best Ambient Synth Shootout #94: Peavey DPM V2 - Song 3
Christian's Sonic Spaces
"This is the third song with the DPM V2. It's a 32 voice 16-part multitimbral ROM-based synthesizer with resonant digital filter from the early 90s.
I used for the recording the following FX chain:
DPM V2 - Digitech Obscura - Pigtronix Echolution 2 Deluxe - GFI System Specular Reverb 2. Depending on the recorded track some FX are deactivated
The signal went through a Presonus StudioLive 16.0.2 into the PC via USB for recording. To create the complete song I recorded consecutively several stereo tracks. The final song was then mastered with a bit EQ and compression on some tracks and some limiting on the master track."
